This is a really nice little dune buggy. I acquired this through some other trading for other items, and I don't have any use for it. A friend of mine had it for a few years, and used it in the summer on his farm. The dune buggy runs really good. It has a 1600 engine, with a 4 speed transmission. Everything works fine on the car, except for the horn, which makes a clicking sound. I have driven it around my 4 acre yard, and it shifts through all of the gears good. The body is in excellent condition, with no cracks or damage. The interior is very nice and clean. It has a small tear on the back of the drivers seat, which you can see in the photo. The wiring appears to be professionally done. It has fuses and a wiring panel. The floor pans look to be original. There are 2 patch panels under the seats. The floor is very solid. There are 4 matching tires, which are in real nice condition. The chrome rims have a little rust in places, and could use cleaning. It always starts right up. When sitting, it does have a small drip of oil on the floor, but not very much. I don't know much about the history or all of the mechanics of this car, so it is being sold "as is". It has a clear Wisconsin title in my name. It is titled as a 1959 Volkswagen. It has a tag on the car with the vin number that matches the title. I am starting the bidding at $1.00 and there is no reserve, so I am going to sell this dune buggy to the high bidder at the end of the auction, so please do not bid unless you are not serious about buying it.
