Vehicle Detail

ONE OF A KIND!!!! The Beautiful Chrysler 300 you are looking at is absolutely like no other. This was an e-bay purchase several years ago from a gentleman in Canada. The car was purchased as an all original, never altered, 12,000 mile, weather protected, car. There is NO rust on this vehicle that I can find. The body is straight as an arrow and has no flaws. The chrome trim is excellent, and everything about the car is as you would expect from a 12,000 mile sheltered vehicle. This car is stunning. If you are a Mopar guy, you most likely know this is limited production somewhat rare car. All of the 300’s were Spinnaker White with red interior. They had the 360 engine a few options. Although they carried the 300 label they were certainly not the performance cars of the previous era’s. A little bit about the 1979 Chrysler 300. They were built on the Cordoba platform and came equipped as follows: Paint: A74 Spinaker White Interior: Red Leather seating, Red Leather wrapped 3 spoke Steering wheel, Factory tach and gauges on an engine turned instrument panel and also on the console. Floor shift, Suspension: HD torsion bar suspension, HD shocks, Front and rear sway bars, Disc front brakes, rear drum,, 9 ¼" rear end, Firm feel steering. Engine: 360 H.O., 195 HP, 280 ft lbs torque, 8:1 compression. Transmission: Torqueflite 727, 3 speed automatic ABOUT THIS CAR Now, looking the spec’s you can see that even though it is an awesome car, it probably wouldn’t be ripping the doors off the newer cars of today in its stock configuration. From a collector standpoint, these cars really didn’t set well with the buyers as they were considered very underpowered. The historical value of the older 300’s is really based on the big motors with multiple carburators or other performance upgrades. Now for the rest of the story. After owning the car for a couple of years, the owner decided to make it a little faster. Make that a lot faster. To do this he decided to pull the engine and transmission out of the car and place a, fresh, modified, 360 from another 300 parts car in it’s place. (The complete original engine and transmission will come with the car for restoration back to original condition if you so desire). Here are the new engine specs: Original 1979 Chrysler 300 engine professionally rebuilt as follows: H.O. 360, BORED .30 OVER, STROKED TO 408 C.I. NEW MILODON BILLET 4 BOLT MAIN CAPS NEW SCAT CRANKSHAFT NEW SCAT FORGED H-BEAM RODS NEW JE SRP FORGED PISTONS NEW ALUMINUM EDELBROCK PERFORMER HEADS, (2.02/1.60, 63cc) NEW CRANE HYDRALIC ROLLER CAM (534/537 lift) NEW CRANE ROLLER ROCKER ARMS (1.5), CRANE PUSHRODS, LIFTERS, SPRINGS NEW CLOYES DOUBLE ROLLER TIMING CHAIN & GEARS NEW MELLING OIL PUMP AND SPECIAL MILODON 8 QT OIL PAN. NEW MOPAR PERFORMANCE IGNITION SYSTEM NEW WATER PUMP, ALT, POWER STEERING PUMP, HOSES, BELTS, CABLES ETC. 99% MOPAR PARTS NEW ELDEBROCK ALUMINUM INTAKE NEW HOLLY 750 DUAL LINE CARBURATOR NEW Hooker SHORT HEADERS (COATED) TRANSMISSION: Original 1979 Chrysler transmission professionally rebuilt as follows: Completely disassembled, examined, and tanked to remove any debris prior to build. New internals with all high performance Mopar parts, (or better if available) New Torque Converter (2800 stall) REAR END ASSEMBLY: Original Chrysler 300 rear suspension 9 1/4 Positrac (3:23 Gears)All components were checked and updated if necessary, (remember this is a 12,000 mile car) New EATON/MOPAR, SUPER STOCK rear springs have been installed along with new shocks. FRONT SUSPENSION: The front disc brake rotors, pads, and hoses, along with the front shocks, have been replaced. Doe to the low mileage all of the existing front suspension remains stock. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Due the header install, the exhaust system has been modified to allow for better flow. The exhaust has been increased to 2" diameter all the way back with high performance mufflers, (still very quiet). Electronic cutouts have been installed and it is now possible to open the exhaust at the touch of a hidden switch located close to the driver. By opening the cutouts the noise gets louder and the car runs better. (Kind of fun to play with, freaks out the Mustang and Camaro boys) BODY GENERAL: As was stated, when this car was brought to Oklahoma from Canada, IT WAS TO BE IN PERFECT CONDITION. Turns out there were a couple of things that had to be corrected. The cruise Control was not operating but has now been repaired and calibrated. The Heater core had a leak so it was professionally removed and replaced with a new one. Other than that this car was magnificent. There is a matter I need to call your attention to, since the car was built for the Canadian market it has a speedometer that show the mileage in Kilometers. The conversion upon delivery was 12,220 miles ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Car was dyno tested upon completion and came up with 312 RW Hp and 320 ft lbs of torque. This should work out to be about 400 hp +/-. As pointed out before, this was a pristine car and still is. Upon raising the hood, your first glance will not indicate this car has been modified, (see the pictures). The 300 has not been raced or abused in any way. This was a high end journey to make a great car a much better performing car with an emphasis on maintaining an original look. The majority of the people that have seen the car cannot tell that anything has been changed or altered other than the headers. Great care was taken to make sure the engine compartment looks as it came from the factory, (The heads, intake etc have been painted to further enhance the image of originality). Mopar parts have been used at every opportunity. Once the engine is started it becomes apparent something is not quite the same as similar 300’s. It is very streetable runs on pump gas, (although I have always used the higher octane), and is dependable enough to drive every day, (what a waste if that happened). This car will win every time at a show. The interior is excellent, a/c is cold and the heater is hot. The sunroof works like new. It has always been a non smoking car, I have no reason to believe this car has ever had body damage or paint work. The original intent of the owner was to purchase a decent 300 to do this transformatiion. He purchased a car that was in pretty bad condition and started to build it. I convinced him to purchase the nicest car he could find and alter it from there. After much searching, this car was the closest to a perfect car we could find. The car was delivered and we were not disappointed. The other original car was kept to become a parts car and a donor for the motor and transmission. The parts car was totally nut and bolt disassembled and each part removed was examined to be determined to be kept or sold. This sale will include all of the remaining parts. The list will include extra 300 wheels, interior parts to include newly recovered seats, new carpet, Heat and a/c components, etc. You will see some attached photos of extra parts. If you do not wish to take the extra parts that is your choice. The complete, original, engine and transmission are included in this auction. Please ask questions if you are not sure about anything you read or see. I AM NOT A DEALER OR BROKER AS ALWAYS, THIS CAR IS NOT BRAND NEW AND IS SOLD "AS IS" YOU ARE WELCOME TO EXAMINE THE CAR, (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY) I WILL PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL PICTURES OR INFROMATION YOU MIGHT NEED. Just found a couple of items in the description I need to clarify. I purchased the car believing it had 12,000 miles +/- when it arrived it was in kilometers which converted to miles was in the 19,000 +/- miles. The actual mileage on the car in miles today is 14,152. The discription above is little confusing. Sorry for not being alittle clearer.
