Offered here for your consideration and bids is a beautifully restored 1981 Datsun 280ZX 2+2 Coupe. This California example was restored in 1999 with no expense spared. The current owner had this exact car when he was in high school. He loved the model but subsequently sold it. Years later, he tracked down the car, purchased it and proceeded to have it completely restored to the mint condition as you see it here. The vehicle has 1,000 miles since the project was completed. I personally composed the photos and video of the car on location and must say this car is magnificent. If you are seeking a Datsun classic of this vintage, this 280ZX is one to keep. The owner informs me that the entire car was refurbished: Including the fuel-injected straight six cylinder engine, 5-speed manual transmission, rear end and all suspension components. The interior of the car is in remarkable condition. The dash is without blemish, the gauges are clear, the radio and power antenna function properly. The air conditioning blows cold. The leather upholstering is excellent with a little wear noticed on the D/S lower and side lumbar supports. The carpets, door panels and headliner are extremely nice. The back seats show as-new. The body appears very straight with mirror-finished paint applied. The exterior color of cinnamon/copper is extremely handsome. All new rubber weather-strip has been installed. The back bumper rubber, tail-light bezels and chrome show very well. A minor flaw in the paint was noticed on the front D/S bottom air-dam.
