Vehicle Detail

1974 Triumph TR-6 with Overdrive!!! Here is an absolutely gorgeous 1974 Triumph TR-6 time capsule!!! This beautiful low mile Triumph is finished in the iconic Mimosa Yellow over a beautiful Chestnut interior!!! This is a great looking car but it is also a great driving car. This car has only traveled 34k miles since new and has only had three owners since new and is truly a well maintained survivor car!!. This car features a strong straight six engine, 4-speed transmission with overdrive, hardtop, weber carbs, and new tires. This car is in excellent condition and it is the best driving TR6 I have ever come across. This is one of the most original Triumph TR-6s I have ever come across. The paint is in very nice shape for its age and where rock chips have chipped away at the beautiful yellow paint reveals the factory red primer underneath. This car is still wearing most if not all of its factory paint!!! The floor and chassis are rust free and the body is laser straight. This car appears to be completely accident free and is still wearing its original beautiful chrome bumpers. This TR-6 has very nice panel gaps as well. Everything on the car lines up incredibly well and this is one of the nicest TR-6 bodies I have ever come across. The Chestnut interior is in excellent condition and the convertible top is like new. This is an extremely well sorted car with no issues. This car has been driven and enjoyed and I feel confident this car could make a long journey with no issues. There are not many TR-6s you can say that about!!! This car is in great shape cosmetically and mechanically. If you are looking for a great looking and great driving TR-6... you have found it!!! The TR-6 is one of the most coveted affordable classic British sports cars and with the top down on a spring day its easy to understand why. This is a solid TR-6 that is in excellent shape and is surely to make its new owner happy! Click to enlarge Exterior: The factory correct Mimosa paint finish on this classic looks incredible. The paint job appears to be the original paint job the car left the factory with and still looks great. There is a minor amount of age or patina on the car that helps verify the originality of the car but overall the car looks great. As you can see from the photos the body is laser straight. The car has been well cared for for the last 38 years and it shows. The original chrome bumpers fit perfect and are in excellent shape. The convertible top is like new and is in great shape. It also comes with a nice "boot" cover as well that finishes the car off nicely when the convertible top is down as well as a full cockpit tonneau cover as well. The hard top is also a great thing to have and really makes the car 4 seasons capable. The hard top is in beautiful condition as well. Overall the exterior of this TR-6 is in excellent condition!!! Click to enlarge Interior: The beautiful Chestnut interior is in excellent shape. The seats look gorgeous and the padding is in excellent shape. The seat upholstery is all free of rips, tears and stains. Really the seats dont show any wear. The seats and carpet are believed to be original to the car with the previous owner only replacing the door panels. The door panels are new and in excellent shape. The wood dash board is free of any cracks or splits and looks excellent. All of the gauges are in great working order and are in excellent condition with clear lenses. All of the gauges and lights are in great working order. Overall the interior of this classic is in Excellent shape. Behind the wheel is a great place to waste the weekend away. Click to enlarge Engine: This classic 1974 Triumph TR-6 is an excellent driving and well sorted car. The Engine pulls strongly and smoothly without smoking. The car fires right up and runs like a top. The engine has virtually no oil leaks and has very strong oil pressure. I can honestly tell you that this is by far the best driving TR-6 I have ever come across. The transmission shifts beautifully through all the gears and the linkage feels nice and tight. The clutch take up is excellent and the brakes are strong as well and stop this car with ease. The car tracks down the road without wondering and freeway journeys are pleasurable. The desirable overdrive transmission also makes for relaxed cruising on the highway. The car overall has a very tight feeling and nothing about the car feels worn out. Many "freshly restored" cars for sale have only been driven down the street and in and out of the back of a trailer for shows... this car has had all the "kinks" worked out of it and it is fully roadworthy. This car has been well maintained over its life and does not have low mileage due to neglect... but rather due to careful use. The original carbs have been replaced with weber carbs to give a bit more power as well as being slightly easier to maintain. They are brand new and have recently been installed. I still have the original carbs if someone wanted to return the car back to the factory set up. This is a fun car to cruise and enjoy classic British motoring. Click to enlarge This is a great rust free Triumph TR-6 and I hope it shows in this ad. This is a well sorted 34k original mile TR-6 that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. This car can be bought for a fraction of what it would cost to duplicate and cars are truly only original once. Triumph TR-6s and British cars in general are gathering more and more interest and are becoming increasingly more collectible and valuable as an investment. The beauty of this investment is that it comes without headaches and you dont have to call your stock broker to find out how your portfolio is doing. Just hop in it and twist the key... This car earns lots of thumbs up every where you go and is a pleasure to drive. It would make for a weekend show piece or a chariot for a fun run/rally. I can help arrange shipping anywhere in the world and international buyers are welcome to enjoy this gorgeous Triumph!!! Please do not hesitate to call me or email me with any questions.
