I have for sale here my 1978 Volkswagen 4 door diesel Rabbit. The car runs PHENOMENALLY well, everything works on it. Heater, wipers, all electrical, everything works. The only thing I can not verify being in good working condition is the rear defroster. All lights work, transmission is in great condition, shifts smooth as butter. No grinding or popping out of gear. Clutch is smooth, no chatter or slipping. It's a 4 speed manual transmission. I have the original owners manual as well as the original window sticker. The car had been painted with Krylon Leatherette satin brown with Gold Rush Metallic scallops. The car is lowered on raceland adjustable coilovers but the stock suspension will be included as well. It has 13" aftermarket wheels that have had the inserts color matched the satin Leatherette brown. Tires have around 80% tread life remaining. There is ZERO rust on this car. The interior however needs help. The seat covers all need replaced, needs new carpet, headliner is present and in pretty good shape with just a couple small tears but nothing major. I drive this car every single day and it drives amazingly well, no shaking or shimmying, doesn't leak any water when it rains. The glowplugs are activated via a remote toggle switch that can be seen in the pictures on the left side of the dash to the left of the instrument cluster and to the right of the vent. The glow plug light is still functional in the instrument cluster. THE STEREO WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE SALE. It would make an amazing commuter for someone. I am selling it because I only drive 2.3 miles a day and just don't need the mileage, so I am gonna buy a go fast gas guzzler instead lol. It does leak a little bit of oil but nothing outrageous. Shipping is buyers responsibility and I will be willing to send overseas no problem, but you must set it all up. If you are looking for a show winning car you found the wrong one.
