1998 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. 2-door coupe, standard 5-speed transmission. Metallic green with Subaru gold alloy wheels (some minor curb scuffs), with Pirelli PNeroNero 205/55ZR16’s Tires (approx. 10K miles on on Pirelli’s). Original engine with approx. 121,000miles. Recent head overhaul, new timing belt, magna-flow exhaust (10K miles old). Owned for last 7 years from 72K miles – has been super reliable and super fun. After-market Sony ‘face off’ stereo with CD and AUX jack input and Viper Alarm immobilizer All original, not chipped, well maintained, no oil leaks, no rust, AC works, etc. Newly re-sprayed hood. Other Paint in generally good order. …. However: Main crank thrust bearing has gone. Engine still runs but is choppy, very down on power and in need of repair. This car is NOT in a condition where you can drive it very far without fixing this. Also – minor body dings to front and rear bumpers and to drivers & passengers doors. (not from accidents, just from being driven / parked for 121K). Interior is original and showing signs of wear (seat fabric on driver’s seat starting to hole). Electric window on passenger side a bit slow and sticky (but working). This is a really rare, really sweet car. The AWD and standard transmission are perfect. We used this as a ‘fun’ everyday car and loved it – it gets 26mpg round town and yet is an awesome drive. Sorry to see it go, but we are not in a position to fix it up.
