Vehicle Detail

This Model A Sedan "Rat Rod" has been designed and built as a project for the avid home garage mechanic to finish. Here you get an original Ford body chopped 5 inches with some extreme custom features on a traditional style frame set up, for around the same price as a "T-Bucket" kit. ---- All you'll need to finish her'up is the engine and transmission out of that old pickup truck that's been sitting in your yard for the past few years. Note: I'm 5'11" , this car should be a comfortable ride for anyone 6 foot tall down to 5 or even shorter. The seats could also be easily adjusted with longer bolts and spacers. Details---------------- Body: - Model A Ford Tudor Sedan 1928 or 29 channeled 4 inches and chopped 5 inches - Suicide Doors with late model after market Claw style latches - Custom dimple die stamped body channels - Roof is made out of ceder paneling stained and sealed to look 80 years old - Brand new front safety glass in that old windshield, with full working tilt out action Lighting: - Model A Ford tail lights with modified mounts - Chrome bullet style reverse light - King Bee head lights on original ford mounts Frame and Suspension: - 2x3 box beam frame - Split wishbone Suicide style front suspension, spring behind setup using a late 30's early 40's Ford front straight axle - Love-Joy lever style shocks up front - Speedway motors GM style front disc brakes (included not photographed is a GM style master cylinder and pedal already mounted under the dash) - Dana 60 Rear end, dodge drum brakes with the Deluxe Coil Spring Rear Kit from Speedway motors. - Late 30's early 40's Ford steering box and column - The clamps pictured up front are only there to hold the radiator shroud in place. The best way i've found to set up the radiator is to mount it to the frame and mount the shroud to it. Interior: - Custom dash made from early 40's truck door panels - 61 Corvair guage cluster - Superior brand wood steering wheel with sprint car style quick release - old style after market turn signal switch - Wood slat flooring stained and sealed to look 80 years old (it's said that wood flooring on older vehicles insulate both road noise and temperature) - Wood seats (these make for a comfortable ride, I've got a pair mounted the exact same way in another model A i drive regularly) - Original wood Artillary cannon shell box that hides a 7 gallon fuel tank - Vintage Army first Aid kit with custom pin-stripes, works great for storing a few tools and some zip-ties or duct tape - Battery storage compartment Wheels: - Rear wheels are military grade 36 inches tall on an 8 lug 16.5 inch steel rim (gives it that nice sinister look) - Front wheels are aprox 25 inches tall on a 5 lug 15 inch steel rim with moon hub caps Engine: -The engine in the picture is just a junk GM 305 just placed on the car to show it with some weight on it and to get a good idea of what it looks like with an engine. (you don't want this engine it's junk and this vehicle does not come with an engine) -Valve covers, these are cal-custom valve covers with Offenhauser breathers and they go with the sale of the project and will give that nestalgia look you want for your finished product History: This project does not have a title or registration, feel free to contact me with questions regarding this and I'll be more than happy to help with any concerns you might have. This is a project, here is a list of some of the items that will be needed to make this a drivable vehicle. - Engine - Transmission - Brake lines - Fuel lines - Electrical wiring - trans tunnel and foot wells floor area will also need finishing - Radiator Shipping and Payment: * Winning bidder is entirely responsible for the shipping and it's expences. * $500.oo deposit is required within 48 hours at auction end and payment is due in full with in 10 days. The Ford Model A of 1928–1931 (also colloquially called the A-Model Ford or the A, and A-bone among rodders and customizers)[2]was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. This new Model A (a previous model had used the name in 1903–1904) was designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors, but not blacStandard and Deluxe), Victor
