2 cars for sale in one bid- 2 1961 Ford Galaxie Starliners. Cars are 2 door hardtops (fastback sport version of the Galaxie). One currently disassembled and under restoration, other parts/donor car. Many, many NOS parts collected for car, some of which have been installed. Here is what is included in sale: 61 Starliner under restoration. Clean and clear title. Car has original 352 with CruiseOMatic transmission. 45,242 miles. All interior, stainless/chrome, glass, pulled for restoration. Parts are all there and documented through photos. Motor and transmission ran well when restoration began. Body was pulled off frame. Body- fully scraped and cleaned underneath, primed and undercoated. Footwell donor patches welded in; trunk donor patch welded in also. Front and rear patch panels for both rear quarters included. All stainless plus many duplicates are there and seen in photos. Example- 2 pairs wipers, 2 pairs starliner stars for roof line, 2 pairs stainless covering wing tip down rear line. Frame- scraped, cleaned, primed and undercoated. Rear end pulled for same process. Complete NOS suspension installed. All new brake components and lines ran for rear. New parking brake cables ran. Front has same- complete NOS suspension rebuild- but not installed. New brake components purchased for front. NOS steering rebuild purchased. All original non power steering and non power brake parts included. Donor power steering components included with rebuild kit. New power brake booster included along with all brake lines. Donor power brake pedal included. Interior- original interior (less carpet and headliner) included but needs recovered. Headliner wire bows are included. Door panels included but unusable; good for template if desired. Dash in good shape, needs painting of course, but all trim and knobs are there. Wires were disconnected and not cut. All glass is included and usable except passenger door quarter vent window. Donor car has good glass as a replacement. Car will need new weatherstripping during reassembly. Extras included in sale- NOS key sets for all areas including trunk (with chrome cover), 2 new Starliner emblems for fenders, 2 new brake light assemblies and 6 donor sets, extra pair chrome trim to connect rear of roof line to body, 5 Ford hubcaps, new steering wheel chrome ring, extra interior door handles and window cranks, new set front bumper light covers, 61 Ford body, trim, sealant assembly manual, 62 Ford body assembly manual, 61 Ford shop manual. 61 Starliner donor car. Car is rusty in many areas and would be a tough salvage but is an invaluable source of random, impossible to find parts. This car, parted out, is worth a considerable amount as you may know. I encourage a google search of 61 Starliner before bidding if you are unaware of the car's unique history of Ford and NASCAR racing.
