2005 Turbo Scion xB This is your opportunity to not just get a car, but get a car that has been built right from the start. You will own a car that will put you in the top percent of all first gen xB owners in horsepower. This car has a custom turbo setup and no expenses were spared in the parts used. This is a custom built car, not a stock vehicle that putts around with 89whp. Although, it still puts down great numbers on the 30mpg avg side.That being said: PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE AD BEFORE PLACING A BID! I want to be as upfront as possible and I'm going to lay it all out here for you. This car is not finished. (Are they ever??) I love this little toaster and I wish I didn't have to let it go, especially before finishing it, but I have a few months to come up with enough money to pay for school and this is the only way it will happen. I am the second owner of this car and I'm not a car lot/car club/guy that sells for others on Ebay (although, I could use some extra cash - see above). Now, on to what you really want to see... Modifications Everyone has individual tastes and Scion xB's are a great car to mod. There's tons of custom things you can do to personalize them and make them yours. I've done basically none of them. At least cosmetic. This is perfect, because you're getting one of the fastest Scion xB's on the planet and it's a blank palette for you to begin making it truly yours. Details This car is not yet finished, in the sense that it still needs to be DYNO tuned. The car will come with the base maps I created that will allow it to crank/idle and run in "Limp home" mode to get around town. This means you should, under no circumstances, put this car into boost yet. You will need to take it to a DYNO for a few hours of professional tuning to get the performance out of this it deserves. If you purchase it, PLEASE do not try to run this car without this final step. You will be doing damage that could have been avoided by doing the right thing. You can see from the names of what I've used that this build is top notch. Once DYNO tuned, this setup will move the 89whp the car came with to approximately 184whp and 171 ft/lb. This car has a low coefficient of drag (although it's shaped like a box) and is very light. With those numbers you will be taking Mustang GT's with an intake and exhaust all day. But it must be setup properly, so if you are purchasing this from a long distance from Anderson, SC - PLEASE arrange for transport or take it directly to be tuned. I would like to go on record stating the obvious. I have never raced this vehicle and it has been delicately driven on a daily basis, fluids checked and changed regularly and basically babied everywhere. It is impossible to have driven the car any other way with out this DYNO time. So you aren't getting a worn out, beat up ride. Secondly, the aforementioned statement is meant to reflect a race atmosphere in a sanctioned legal racing environment, not your local streets. It is great knowing what your car can do; it's better knowing when to do it. The second thing I need to point out is that the turbo needs to be re-clocked. The oil intake/outtake are not aligned at 180* and need to be adjusted. Since they aren't the oil tends to pool slightly in the center housing of the turbo allowing some of it to blow-by the seals and out the exhaust. The seals on the turbo are fine, but this should be done to prevent premature failure of the turbo. I purchased this car in 2006 with 6000 miles on it. It has been my daily driver since. The mileage has is accurate and has not been tampered with. I work two minutes from my house and don't put a lot of miles on cars. Since I purchased it I've been in two minor accidents. The first an oncoming car crossed the center and I had to swerve off the road. In turn the passenger side skirt was knocked off and both hubs on that side were scuffed. The second was a light bump in the back that did no damage to either car. The car has never deployed airbags, had any glass broken, etc. The paint is a 9.5, due to some small dings on both driver and passenger doors from inconsiderate people, and a few small rock chips on the leading edge of the hood. The seats are immaculate with no rips/tears/stains/etc. The carpet and mats are in great shape, but the driver mat shows some wear and the carpet under the clutch pedal has been worn down. This is a fantastic car as it is and will be an exceptional car when finished. But it gets better... It gets even better?!?? Not only does this car come with everything mentioned, it will come with all of the factory parts they replaced as well!!! I've kept everything I removed from the exhaust to the hoses. So, if you're looking for a great deal, just remove all of the aftermarket pieces, put it back stock and you've got a great, low mileage xB with tons of stuff to sell on Ebay! The only thing that I do not have is the original clutch, flywheel and halfshafts. I had a transmission shop install these and they didn't return the originals. So what are you waiting for???
