price reduced!; reserve $1,500 buy it now $2,500 up for sale is a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu, this car is a partially disassembled street/strip race car. This is a project that I unfortunately do not have the space for anymore and there are other more urgent projects on hand, instead of leaving it outside to rot I'd rather it see the attention it needs to come back to what it once was. There has been alot of money and tuning put into the chassis of this car and I am confident in it being one of the better rolling chassis available on ebay right now. Condition: The car has not been wrecked and has a clean title, there is minor surface rust on the sheet metal behind the back seat (under the rear wind screen) the floor boards and other interior sheet metal are clean and stripped of sound deadening and other materials. the door panels and their pieces are not in the best of shape but are available if desired with the car. the car is a malibu so it has a column shift automatic and bench seats front and rear, both of the seats are here and will be bolted in before shipping (they were out at time of photos for interior cleaning of the car) there are some minor tears in the leather of the seats as well. the single stage orange paint that I bought the car with did not withstand the desert sun of living in Nevada and it has been pressure washed and sanded to verify the standing of the body. there is a minor amount of rust in the area at the bottom of the rear wind screen and a small hole in the bottom of the passenger fender. there is also a dent in the driver's fender that I have been told will be very easy to pop the hood and front bumper are being sold with the car though they are not currently attached Features: there is a water temp/oil pressure/battery voltage gauge mounted below the stereo/climate control unit there is a tachometer mounted on the right hand side of the speedometer the car is equipped to run a Small Block Chevrolet V8 original equipment was a 307 and I raced it with a ZZ4 based 350 that engine is not available, however I have a two bolt main 350 that will be in the car to hold the transmission in place properly. the factory TH350 automatic transmission has been replaced with a TCI Street Fighter which is an aftermarket built TH400 three speed automatic street/strip application a front disk brake conversion from SSBC has been installed with a new master cylinder and vacuum booster, there is also a proportioning valve to adjust inline pressure or for use as a line lock. a set of QA1 coil overs have been added and the factory shocks removed though the factory springs are still in place to maintain proper geometry and reduce axle hop even further. ladderbars by lakewood have also been installed to keep the rear end in place under high torque and heavy acceleration with 400hp and D.O.T. legal slicks this car has enough traction to lift the front end. the factory 10 bolt rear end (remember it is a small block car) has been fitted with a 3.73:1 Eaton Positraction carrier it has era correct ralley wheels from a same year Monte Carlo i also have a pair of small block headers and a full length custom fabricated exhaust with Thrush mufflers that i will throw in for another $150 paypal if the buyer is interested.
