Vehicle Detail
This is a real V code 440 6 Pac 4 Speed DANA 60 354 Pos Trac Pac R/T with Numbers-matching 440, vins. and body , no clone or rebody here ! The Real Deal !!! I Will take trades and cash for this car but I don't want to trade even . I need 40k cash and a trade in . ====================================================================================================== Here is my 1970 R/T Challenger up for auction . The car as under gone a complete rotesserie restoration in the last yr. The inside, underside, truck compartment, and engine comp. was bead blasted to bare metal. The body had very little rust-only needing small repairs to bottom of quarters and two small spots on rear window. All rust repairs would fit on a dollar bill. The rust was cut out-metal was replaced and welded in. All body panels are numbers matching and no replacement panels. After the body panels were fixed and primed, I removed the doors, hood, fenders and truck lid and painted. The main body was painted while still on the rotissorie. The inside, engine comp. underside and inside trunk were all sprayed at the same time-(no masking lines). The Challenger is 1970 Correct. Unlike most restored cars these days. There are no INCORRECT PARTS. This one has all the '70 correct parts- including dash and corner elbows, instrument cluster, steering wheel, tail panel trim, windows, radiator, clutch fan, hood. The dash pad in an original uncracked dash. The door panels are also original and in great shape. Does have new seat covers, carpet, headliner, seatbelts, glove box liner and rebuilt heater box with new heater core. I added new heater control cover and new vent cables. The steering column was powder coated satin black and the dash frame was blasted and pained satin black as well. I could write twenty pages on what has been done, but here is a list of the big jobs----- 1. Numbers Matching 440 6 Pac motor rebuilt 30 over 2. Non matching datecode correct 833 18 spline Hemi trans Rebuilt 3. Complete new front suspension with new NOS gear box 4. All new brakes front and rear with lines and brake valves 5. Gas tank and lines 6. All new wire harness' 7. All new Emer. brake cables(NOS) 8. Front and rear bumpers and guards new 9. All door handles-inside and out with new lock and lock levers 10. Interior 11. New Firewall insulation and kick panel 12. New radiator and shroud 13. New go wing(Mopar) 14. New grill (NOS) 15. All new door, window, hood, trunk seals 16. NOS wiper blades and arms 17. NOS Challenger, Dodge and R/T emblems 18. Restored Rimblow wheel 19. New fly wheel 20. All most everything is powder coat 21. NOS rear springs RARE PARTS MOST DON'T HAVE 1. 1970 Dash Pad (ORIGINAL) UNCRACKED 2. Date coded glass all 1970 3. Fast Idle selinoid (ORIGINAL) 4. 4 Speed key lockout (ORIGINAL) 5. Working Clock, Tack, Radio (ORIGINAL) 6. Low Mileage 63k. 7. All Original Body Panels 8. Duel Point distributer - Not on car yet. This car has been reworked all the way down to the little rubber visor tips which are NOS. And now the bad--I don't have the build sheet and I changed the color from burnt orange to white because I wanted a Vanishing Point car. Which was the last movie I saw with my Dad before he was killed in a car wreck. I know it is wrong to change colors on cars but I had no intention to sell when I painted it. The car is lazer straight and would be an easy repaint to change back. The white would make a great base coat to make the Burnt Orange pop. Which was the plan later in life. I have had this car for 6 yrs. and have spent around 80k in car and parts. I hope you enjoy the pics and email for special requests. Thanks for looking!!!
