This classic Ford Model B body cabriolet is the finest on the planet. Slim’s Hot Rod Shop (if you don’t know them, you should) did all the work restoring and perfecting this car. They started with a solid original 1932 cabrio from California and finished $165,000 later with this beauty. The body is all metal and finished to the highest standards with rich deep black paint. Yes, all the fenders and running boards are all metal as well – nothing was overlooked. The chrome bumpers are flawless. Special attention was paid to the details like the headlight/turn signal combination lights. The black top folds down effortlessly and is finished with a black cloth boot. The interior is stunning, finished in lipstick red leather – five hides worth. The dash has instrumentation from Classic Instruments. The car is equipped with a Vintage Air A/C & heater system, along with power windows which utilize the factory window cranks. A Kenwood AM/FM/CD unit was elegantly added under the dash with a “finned” amplifier mounted in the power trunk. Notice the same fins on the rear axle…those kinds of details abound in this vehicle. The powertrain is nothing short of amazing. 400HP of brute power comes out of the performance built 383CID V8 engine, equipped with a 4BBL 750 Demon carburetor. The cooled Turbo 350 automatic transmission is fresh and built to channel all the power to the independent 3.00:1 positraction rear axle. This resto-mod is kept firmly planted to the pavement thanks to Michelin 235/70/15 rear & 185/65/15 front tires which surround gorgeous McClain wire wheels. Wilwood disc brakes securely stop all four wheels and the rotors are even jet-coated! The stainless steel header exhaust system is completely custom and sounds amazing. The Kugel boxed steel frame provides all the needed structure and rigidity. The front and rear coil-over suspension is a work of art and results in superior ride quality and handling. The electrics are all new. The underside is finished as nicely as the top side – park her over a mirrored or glass floor if you have one; she’s sure to impress. This is a no excuses, the best of everything, custom crafted masterpiece. There are lots of rods out there and a few nice resto-mods. This example is second to none and will impress anyone!
