1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Up for auction is a stock and mostly original Malibu, it was purchased from the original owners wife in Mariposa, CA where she lived all her life. She still has the original owners manual in the glove box, original 14" Chevy silver steel rally wheels, even the shoulder belt headliner clips intact. Her original color was Cortez Silver with white interior, very early in her life, the right rear quarter was hit, the owner replaced the complete panel with a factory piece, there was no aftermarket at that time. As you can see by the Root Beer Brown color, he repainted the whole car, but she was not disassembled, so going back will be easy. The motor compartment has not been touched, a couple of the original factory stickers are still on the valve covers and radiator support, one is dated 5/69. Before the current owner found her, she had not been on the road since 1991, placed on a non-op and garaged after the man passed away. Once purchased, she was hauled home, all fluids changed, gas tank cleaned out, she fired right up and purrs like a kitten. She drives great, the air blows cold and the brakes stop! There's even some grease pencil marks still here and there and the running gear is tight. There's little to no rust and no cancer bubbles on any fenders or around the rear window. The drivers door doesn't sag, in fact both doors, trunk and hood close very nice. The gas tank or rear seats don't look like they were removed, so the build sheet could still be there.
