1928 Chevrolet TouringNational Model Series A.B.Clear Florida Title For sale here is a very nice condition 1928 Chevrolet Touring Sedan, the car received a complete restoration some time between the early seventies and the late eighties buy the previous owner, it was used occasionally on the show car circuit and at some point after that ended up in storage until about a year ago when the current owner purchased it. The previous owners restoration has held up rather well, all the wood in the body and frame is solid with no soft spots or rott anywhere. Mechanically the car is perfect, all fluids were changed, the carburator was stuck when purchased by the current owner but after a quick tune up it started right up and ran perfect. The gas tank was cleaned and fresh gas was added, the car now runs like a top and idles nicely, The brake drums were rebuilt so it stops as good as it goes. According to the documentation included with the car it is described as having a 3 11/16" Bore and a 4" stroke making 21.7 horsepower. Next up was the interior, both the front and rear seats have been recovered in black leatherette and gives the car a very nice contrast. All the gauges function properly and the convertible top is in great condition it goes up and down easily and has absolutly no rips or tears anywhere on the canvas. The current paint was applied by the previous owner during the restoration, according to a hand written note that came with the car along with other documentation and photographes, the color used was "Black Acrylic Enamel on the fenders" and "Dark Green used on Chevrolet trucks from 1961-66" the paint codes are also included on the paper. I would call the paint good overall, it is a bit dull in some spots mainly on the front fenders but nothing a good buffing cant bring back. Included in the sale will be all the documentation that came with the car, I have the original owners manual that is in very nice shape. The car also comes with a laminated plaquered giving all the details of the car, My guess is this was used when the car was put on show, I also have an original parts catalogue dated from 1987, aswell as old photos showing the progress at different points during the restoration, they are dated from 1970 - 1986.
