FOR SALE IS A 1995 BUICK RIVIERA. THIS CAR BOASTS A 3.8-LITER, 225 HORSEPOWER, V6 SUPERCHARGED ENGINE. This engine, I understand, is much in demand, is getting harder to find, and it will be well worth the effort to get it back into tip top shape. The mechanic tells me the bearings in the supercharger will soon have to be replaced. A couple of the valve covers leak oil. Also, there is a water leak in the cooling system somewhere which needs to be ferreted out. This contributes to the car's tendency to run hot, particularly during hot weather. Finally, The transmission has gone bad. However, THE ENGINE IS SOUND. I had a mechanic perform a pressure test on it recently. The car as a whole is drives well (I still drive it) and the A/C runs cold, but there are some problems with the aesthetics (dents on both sides, carpet is torn, seats are torn) and power options (powers locks, seats, and windows don't all work). The dimmer light is out, and the horn doesn't blow. the antenna is broken (radio signal still good), and the cassette player doesn't work. Also, the trunk leaks. However, it's what's under the hood that folks will be most interested in. THE ENGINE ITSELF IS WORTH THE PRICE I AM ASKING FOR THE ENTIRE CAR.
