This is a weber conversion with a Spider attached! This is a 1976 Spider with a 1979 motor and transmission and an Ansa exhaust. I don't know how many miles are on the 79 motor or trans. The car has a little more than 82,000 miles on it. Engine has been converted to two 40 dcoe weber carburetors. Car runs but has low compression in cylinder 3 (about 30) Good compression in 1, 2 and 4. Interior is in good shape. Blue seats are perfect, all gauges and controls operate fine. Dash is cracked but can be covered with dash cap. Car will need body work and paint when you get it up and running smoothly or you can purchase this car for the carbs and set up (worth over 1200.00 at International Auto) and lots of other good parts to restore your car. Car has been sitting for awhile and I've run out of time and energy to keep working on it. Car can be purchased for parts or restoration. Photos show several dents and rust areas from sitting in my mechanic's lot, and age. Car currently has antique tags and is registered in PA. Carburetors are fine. One is brand-new, the second only about 4 years old. Many new parts added to the engine over the years but I've been away from it for awhile and can't remember everything that's been done to it. I'll try to answer any questions you might have and I can get more photos if you need to see something specific. I also have four more carb bodies, a rebuilt head, a windshield and a rust-free passenger-side door that I had intended to use if you are interested in these parts. Buy this parts car while you can. It's not getting any younger and you won't find a parts car or restoration project anywhere for this price. I need to sell and move it off my mechanic's lot!
