This is a very nice, 1957 Ford 2 door Sedan. It has a 289 4bbl 4 speed. Old school chrome reversed wheels with baby moons. The car passed the National Street Rod Association saftey inspection last year. I'm selling this car for my friend. I have been around cars all my life, and he's not computer savy so I got the job of listing the car on ebay. I think he has the buy-it-now listed too low for this car. I think it should bring around $12,000.00 to $13,000.00. But that is what he wanted to list it for. This car is a very straight driver not a trailer queen. This is a car to drive and have fun with. The car has spent most of its life in the west where they do not use road salt so it is almost rust free which is quite a feat for any 57 Ford. Look at the pictures carefully as they will describe the car much better than I can. It looks as good in person as it does in the pictures. If you would like to come and look at the car or have a third party inspect the car for you I would be happy to show it to them. The blue is a few years old. The white was repainted last year. The front and rear bumpers were rechromed last year. The hood and trunk have been shaved and the trunk opens with a popper. The headlight eyebrows which are usually rusted out on these cars are nice. In fact the only rust on this car is at the very bottom of the drivers front fender and a small area on the left rear in front of the wheelwell and one small spot on the passengers door and a spot was touched up under the drivers taillight (photo makes it look worse than it really is). The floor pans, spare tire well, trunk and bottoms of all the doors are virtually RUST FREE. I really doubt you will find a more rust free example of a 1957 Ford Sedan anywhere unless it has had expensive repairs. The seats, door panels, and arm rests look like new. The car had new carpet installed. There are seatbelts. The car has manual steering and brakes. The brakes, master cylinder and clutch were all replaced last year. This car drives great and starts easily. Two small pumps on the throttle and it fires up instantly. The sound of the 289 through the dual glass packs is "Just right". The only thing I can find wrong driving it is a little buzz, not grinding from the third gear syncro if you shift too fast. If you shift slow it's no problem. The car has aftermarket cassette radio and gauges. I am sure I have left something out so ask if you have questions. As with any car of its age there are no guarantees so we must sell it as is. Mileage shows 67000 but probley not original just had to put something in the mileage box. I will help with shipping but shipping costs are the responsibility of the new owner. I have used uship(like the T.V.show) before and had good luck. I can store the car for awhile after payment, so you have time to set up shipping or pick up.
