Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 2000 Honda Accord LX 4 door sedan: 4 cylinder engine, automatic transmission. Car has a clear title, owned by original purchasing family. All service records intact, with the majority of work done by a certfied Honda dealer, Honda of Mentor. Everything that came with the car is included as expected and runs great: Excellent AC/heat, power locks/windows, etc. I installed an off market CD player with USB/iPod input in addition to the auxiliary jack. All major maintenance completed, notably timing belt at 86,000 miles. 4 new tires put on at 116,000 miles (100,000 mile Hankook- highly recommended!). I even had it professionally repainted spring 2011 by a body shop! Newer exhaust, brake lines, transmission flush, you name it I can get the dates/miles and work done! The car does have a couple cosmetic issues, which I tried to capture when taking pictures: scuff on front bumper, drivers side. Scratch running between the two passenger doors, a few inches higher than the door handles. There is a tiny blotch on the passenger seat (on the front of the seat- not the bucket itself but where one's legs would fold behind the knees). Aside from this blotch, interior upholstery is in EXCELLENT condition! A small "gash" is present on the console next to the CD player, on the drivers wheel side. The car has a few tasks that need to be taken care of: Check engine light: Car can jerk on and off when it hits 2800 RPMs. This is NOT every time it hits that acceleration, only at random times. The dealer stated that the engine itself is okay. The PCM was replaced from a salvaged parts car (per Honda dealer- paperwork included: MSRP approx $900 brand new). however, the check engine light remains on @ this time & perhaps would require further computer diagnostics &/or maintenance to resolve. "Screeching" near front engine/brake compartment: It sounds as if there is something dragging on the pavement as I drive this car, and it increases in noise as pressure is applied to the brakes. Perhaps a minor brake repair job to resolve ? This Accord is being sold as is! While it does need some work, I feel that it can truly last for years to come. As I have disclosed everything to the best of my abilities, this is a good car to purchase, especially if you or a friend may happen to be mechanically savvy! Please do not hesitate to ask any questions: At what point was _____ done on this car (I have all records since day one!), what would you recommend doing if you were to keep it (although I already pointed it out) Local pickup available if purchaser interested. If not, buyer is responsible to contact transportation company of choice and incur all fees. Buyer is responsible for all costs, including but not limited to title transfer, taxes, registration fees, etc. Accepted forms of payment included paypal and certified bank note. Questions? Please ask!
