Vehicle Detail
Once in a while, a really special Porsche comes up for sale, and when it does, it finds a new home, and doesn't resurface for a really long time. This is one of those times. It's present owner, has long since retired, and has finally decided to pass the torch. It is important to him, that it passes on to a private party, who will appreciate and cherish its quality. This 912 while under his care, has never been wet or washed, as it has never been dirty. It sits in the garage, under a cover, and only comes out on cool dry days. Ebay's format has a maximum of 24 photo's, and although I've taken over 100, I think it's necessary, not waste the space on outside shots, which I can send to you during this auction, and concentrate more, on close ups of the unique quality of this magnificent car. If you like what you see so far, and want to see more, please send an email address, and I will see that you get all angles of the exterior. Please take note of some of the more intimate shots of the following items: Original factory fog lamps, AM FM SW Blaupunkt, Early H-4's, original Durant mirror and Hirshman antenna, Unused factory tool kit, Crested seat belts, Owners manuel, and especially the original service book, issued and stamped by the original selling dealer in Sacramento, CA. Look at the close up of the Data Plates, and see how crisp the info is. Porsche techs have told me this car doesn't look a year old. See how firm the sunvisors are, and look under the rubber matting, at the original sound deadening material. I've only seen it as good as this on a very few early 911 survivors. All rubber seals are original and supple with no cracking. The headliner is excellent and has not been replaced. This is a 5 speed 912 with all matching numbers and corosponding date codes. The engine compartment is also original including all stickers. And yes, the doors ping when you close them. This is really the best unrestored 912 you will find, and it drives like it's six months old. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding I've set the reserve relatively low for a car of this quality, and for those of you with less than 5 positive transactions on eBay should contact me first before bidding to let me know your intentions. Thanks again, and good luck.
