Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1970 AMC AMX, originally a 360 auto but has no drive train at this time. I bought this car 5 years ago out of Florida. It was a no optioned 360 auto with drum brakes. My plans were to make a nice resto mod driver out of it. When I got it it just sat for a while as I was busy with other projects. I started working on it about a year ago but it was put in my brothers garage and kind of forgot about. I just don't have the time to do this car. It is very solid and will make a nice car. The body is nice and solid with a couple of small rust spots on the floors. Quarters and inner drop offs are perfect. The trunk is as good as you will find. The rockers inner and outer are very nice. The front gussets have no rust in them at all. The doors are nice but have a couple of small dents to work out. The fenders are the same,no rust but a couple of small dents. The hood is nice but will need some work. The engine bay is nice and the radiator support also. It was hit light in the right front at some time in its life. I had it fixed professionaly but the spot welds on the rad support will need to be finished. Very minor. The engine bay was blasted to bare metal and painted with an etching primer. I have all the glass for the car and the front windshield is still in and nice. Most of the trim is with the car as I have been assembling it a little at a time to show. The mechanics of the car are as follows, there is no drivetrain. I do have an orig 70 auto that I would just say it needs to be gone through allthough I have never used it. I was going to put a hot 390 with a 6 sp in it. The car has a ford 9" in it that just sat right on the locator pins and bolted in. No cutting or altering needed. It has a spool and a back brace as I had it in my race car. This alone is worth about 800.00. I have a drive shaft that will need to be shortened. The front suspension was changed over to a 72 Javelin disk brake set up. The car has a guage package out of a Jav as I was going to put some new style guages in when I did it over. The car still has its orig headliner. I have a clean Florida title for the car. This car is sold as is as seen as described. Please ask all questions and I will supply pics you would like to anyone I just need an email address to send to. This car rolls freely. Please don't wait to the end and then send an email that you want to buy it after the auction. High bidder will get the car. I reserve the right to end auction early as it is advertised in other places for sale. All transporting costs are the responsability of the buyer as I will help with loading.
