Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1967 Mustang GTA. She was bought new in 1967 in a dealer in Charlotte NC. At 9 years old she was sold to a dad getting his daughter her first car. They had owned her for the past 36 years............... This car is well optioned and has only 55,102 ACTUAL miles. She has been garage kept the majority of her life. She sports $2200 worth of American Racing Bullitt wheels and Kuhmo 215-65 R15 tires - they have less than 500 miles on them. The interior is all original. Dash has cracks but is covered with a carpeted dash cover. Headliner is torn but a brand new one in the box comes with the car. Driver seat has splits at the seams but a brand new factory seat upholstery set for it comes with the car. Spare, jack and cover are all in the trunk. Original owners manual in the glove box. C code GTA cars were very rare to begin with in 1967, and this one has most all the correct factory GTA options such as Power steering, Disc Brakes, Console, Hood mounted Turn Signal lights, GT flip open gas cap, dual exhaust and fender badges. These parts were not just recently added on but as can be seen have aged with the car for the past 45 years. She ALSO has FACTORY Air Conditioning, Tinted glass all around, Exterior decor group chrome moldings, Vinyl Top, Dual Chrome rear view mirrors, and a Deck lid Luggage rack!According to Kevin Marti, only 4359 GT/GTAs were manufactured w/a 289 (C code, A-code or K-code) engine. Only 25,098 GT/GTAs were manufactured out of more than 300,000 total. It is well known that back in the day, dealers did convert cars into GTA models by adding the optional equipment which was a part of the GTA package. This may or may not be a dealer converted GTA, that I do not know. What I do know is that except for having no front fog lights (which may have been the original owners preference if indeed it was a dealer conversion), this car is correctly optioned for being a 1967 GTA. Engine, trans and rear are original and numbers matching to the car. All body panels are number matching to the car. All glass is original to the car. Windshield is not cracked or split / faded. Options she has are correct for the package. I had thought about adding the fog lights prior to selling her but figured it best to just leave her as she has been for the last 45 years. Her new owner can add them if they so choose......... Maintenance has of course been done through the years. Lower control arms and ball joints have been replaced and are not original to the car. Same with hoses and belts, etc.She has no sag in the frame as can be seen in the fit of the doors. All body panels fit perfectly as when she was first built. There is minimal rust in some SMALL spots, like where the paint was chipped, example being on the front of the hood, a spot in the passenger door lower area, some small bumps under the vinyl top, and some surface spots at the lower r/f by the battery case and passenger rail. This car has NEVER been in an accident. It has NEVER been raced or mistreated. You will be VERY hard pressed to find a better 100% complete unmolested survivor 1967 GTA anywhere. Interior door trim in very good condition. Carpets are worn on hump but not shredded. R/S carpet has gotten wet over the years when car in a rainstorm or washed - from typical Mustang cowl seal (or non-seal to be exact). A/C will need a charge to be ice cold but it does work when charged and the compressor is free. Exhaust sounds good at rear of car. Small leak at R/S donut on exhaust manifold but quiets when warm (pipe needs tightening). The pioneer 8 track super tuner actualy works too. All lights, wipers, signals, all working. That is pretty much all of it - You can drive her right now as she sits, or if Barrett Jackson is your game then restore her knowing you are not dealing with a rustbucket or mismatched parted together vehicle but a true numbers matching well optioned 1967 Mustang GTA. My terms are simple - PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PARAGRAPH!! I have listed the car with an extremely low starting price, and am selling the car at NO reserve, meaning the high bidder at the end of the auction wins her. I will not get into any debates with any self proclaimed "experts" out there - the car is what it is and with no hidden details so bid accordingly on what you see and ask all questions before bidding please. Serial number is posted - if you want a Marti report to see if this car came from the factory or was dealer converted you have my permission to go order one at your expense. I have nothing to hide and have described this car to the very best of my ability. She is being sold as is and with no guaranty or warranty of any kind expressed or implied. If you want the car inspected by a mechanic I have no problem as long as you make arrangements with me to do so before you bid and before the end of the auction. I expect a $500 PayPal deposit within 24 hours of sale end and the balance in cash or wire transfer. I will accept a Certified Check or a personal check but you will have to wait TEN (10) business days from the time I deposit your check before the car can be picked up. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping costs. I will make myself available to your shipper AFTER funds have cleared. You can certainly fly in and drive the car away also but be aware you do so at your own risk legally and accept full responsibility once the title and car leave my possession. I have described this car as honestly and accurately as I can, and have posted lots of pictures. Check my feedback if you doubt my integrity. She is for sale locally but once there is an opening bid on Ebay I will honor that and remove the car from local advertising. If there is something you wish to see or ask in particular, please feel free to do so but please do so BEFORE you bid. Bidders with zero feedback need to contact me before bidding or I will remove the bid - sorry but I am not here to entertain but to sell the car to a serious buyer. Thank you and good luck bidders!! On Sep-12-12 at 18:14:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello all and thanks for the MANY emails and inquiries.......one thing I did forget was to mention that the muffler on the right side while looking brand new has a loose baffle inside which can be heard at idle. Also, FYI I have been told by a few serious buyers who have checked the car and ordered the report that this car was ordered with the options described in my ad, with the exceptions being the dealer optioned GT gas cap and fender badges. I could have been dishonest and added the GT code to the Buck Tag (either PIO or G7), a used set of fog lights and cut out the lower valance in the back for the dual exhaust, and since 1967 data is sketchy at best gotten away with calling this an equipment correct factory GT, I chose the high road and listed it EXACTLY as it sits. The car is what she is - an unmolested low mileage daily driven survivor with some nice options.. She will sell at auction as I have ended the local ads. REMEMBER MY TERMS and bid accordingly. Thanks again and good luck bidders On Sep-12-12 at 18:21:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for all the emails. Forgot to mention that the right muffler, while looking new, has a noisy baffle inside. This is heard at idle mostly. Also, there were a few watchers who ordered the report for the car. They say most likely the GT cap and badges wee dealer added but the other options which are on the car were ordered with the car. This is just as described so I am confident in my description. Thanks all. Finally, I have ended the local sale - item will sell on Ebay. PLEASE READ MY TERMS especially if you are the winning bidder. Thanks and good luck to all!! On Sep-12-12 at 18:23:25 PDT, seller added the following information: OOPS>>>>> see I posted revision twice. Thought I lost the first one. Either way - same info anyway :) On Sep-13-12 at 17:10:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi all......this should be the last revision. Just answering more questions. I have pics of the items below if anyone wants to see them I will send them to you - just please don't ask me an hour before the auction ends..... 1) Shock towers appear solid and feel solid 2) Rear spring shackles look solid and feel solid 3) Wheel wells are all clean and no rot 4) Center of trunk is the gas tank which was changed once and is shiny. Side pics are posted on ad. 5) There IS a spare and jack in the trunk 6) The paint was redone 15 - 20 years ago and while it should polish up a little it does have some chips, scuffs and the like all about but NOTHING major or large - all as described in ad. Vinyl top also replaced at that time. 7) Floors all feel solid and look good from below - pics posted. R/F floor seems a little softer than the rest as described in ad. 8) Lights, signals and wipers all working order as described in ad. All, I have described this Mustang in the absolute best way I know and as honestly as possible. PLEASE remember she IS FORTY FIVE years old and is in very nice shape considering that. I hope the winning bidder enjoys this car as much or more than I had hoped to. Finally, one more time - PLEASE read my TERMS. You are not bidding to leave a deposit and come look at the car, you are bidding to BUY the car. If that is not your intent please do not bid and let someone who wants the car get her. Also remember that the title and car does NOT leave me until funds are cleared. I will be glad to assist your shipper after that time. Thanks and happy bidding!!On Sep-13-12 at 17:14:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot these two.... 1) New carb on engine 2) Cobra rocker covers and chrome air cleaner ( I do not have original ones) Thanks!!
