Here is a 1989 Dodge Dakota Convertible. One of only 2,842 conversions produced in 1989 (there were 1,039 conversions produced in 1990). ASC Inc. did the conversions for Chrysler as stated in the letter from Chrysler. The ASC sticker is still located inside the driver door. I've owned this truck most of my driving life. It has 158,000 miles on it. The paint is slightly faded and could use a paint job. It has been patch painted here and there over the years, but is still considered "unrestored." Although I do have Dakota Sport lettering and Dodge tailgate lettering for anyone who would choose to paint it. Truch top and paint are rough around the edges but still a head-turner and trophy winner due to it's rareness. It has been exposed to snow only 3 times in the 18 years I've owned it. Frame is excellent. Original spare underneath. Only the bug sheild, fog lamps and radio are not original. The rest is factory mopar. The best I can tell, it needs a new drivers side rear wheel bearing. Power windows, cruise, all gauges work fine. I just put new shoes and brake hardware in rear. Plugs, wires, and oil changed within the last couple months. The rust under the carpet is surface only. I didn't know it was there until I took the pictures. I will repair that this week while running this ad. It is just surface rust and is still solid. I've had a lot of fun over the years, to the beach and back, and to many car shows. But it doesn't suit my needs now, so it is someone else's turn to enjoy. Please call with questions and I'll be happy to answer them. I can text you more pictures if you'd like.
