Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a beautiful 1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible. This is a garage kept, 2 owner, rust free car, that has been meticulously maintained. It has only 92,000 actual miles, and is in great condition. The body of the car is completely rust free, with only one repaint it's whole life. The undercarriage is free of rust, and is in amazing condition. The doors close with just the slight push of your hand, and click twice into place, like they did when new. The car has been garage kept it's entire life, and only driven in nice weather. This is the kind of Volkswagen convertible you look for, but hardly ever find. The interior of the car is almost flawless. It is in like new condition, with absolutely no wear and tear. It has an aftermarket CD player (installed correctly) that sounds great. It has a brand new convertible top that fits so great you can barely tell it is convertible. It is installed so well that I have refused to put it down, so as not to wrinkle it even slightly. The inside headliner is also new. It also comes with a brand new top boot, so that when you finally decide to put the top down, it will still look great. The car comes equipped with chrome wheels and brand new tires. It still has the original fuel injected engine for that little extra power that you do not get from the carbureted models. The engine purrs like a kitten, with no smoke or unusual noises. No excessive oil drips. Just the usual little drip they all leave, even the best ones, like this one. It has a 4 speed transmission , which shifts flawlessly, and the clutch feels great. Actually, the car runs and drives like it did when it was new. It has always been serviced by the best VW mechanic in our area, and no expense has been spared. He checks the car over periodically, and if it needs anything repaired, he takes care of it. As I said before, the car drives as good as when it was new. As you can tell, I really love this car, and hate to part with it, but other toys make this a necessity. My loss is definitely your gain. This is a wonderful little car, and would make anyone proud to own it. I looked a long time before I found the right one, and this is definitely the right one. It has all the qualities you are looking for. You really have to see it to appreciate all the small things that make this car the right one to have. All the way down to the clock keeping perfect time. It has all the small things, and the large things that you are looking for. When people in my area see it, they think it is a really expensive Volkswagen. I have been asked if it cost me in the $12,000 to $15,000 price range. It, of course, is not perfect. It does have a few small imperfections in the paint, but nothing that detracts from the quality of the car. All in all, it is a beautiful, well preserved car. The kind every Volkswagen enthusiast wants to find. You won't find many like it, without having undergone an extensive restoration. That's the great thing about this car. It has always been nice. It's not one that has been made over to appear nice. The interior pictures, I'm sorry to say, do not do it justice. You would have to see the interior in person to appreciate how nice it really is. If you are the winning bidder, I will require a $500.00 non refundable deposit within 48 hours of the auction end, and the remainder of the payment within 7 days of the auction end. I would prefer that you call or text me very shortly after winning the auction @ 812 499-0694 to set up payment and pick up arrangements. I will only accept cash, cashier's check, or bank transfer for form of payment. The car and title will only be released once funds have cleared. The car must be picked up within 14 days of the auction end, or the car will be relisted, and your deposit lost. Please do not bid on the car if you are not planning to follow through with the purchase. Any non paying bidders will be reported to Ebay, and sanctioned by Ebay policy. The vehicle is available for inspection PRIOR to bidding. If you would like to set up an appointment to see the vehicle, or for any questions you may have, please call or text me @ 812 499-0694. I do also reserve the right to end the auction at any time, as I would consider a reasonable buy it now offer on the car. Again, you will be very pleased with this vehicle if you are the lucky, winning bidder on this wonderful car. You won't find many rust free Volkswagens with all the things this one has going for it in a resonable price range like this very often, if ever. Good luck, and happy bidding.
