   Up for sale is a very nice Oldsmobile F85 convertible sporting the V8 engine.  The car runs, rides and drives very well. You do not see these cars very often. The convertible top is power, and works quite well. The top pump was replaced on 4/2011. I have the receipt.  The engine sounds strong, and has a lot of power to get you where you want to go. Transmission shifts properly.  I was told by the previous owner that the  interior is original. It looks very good as you will see in the photos. The carpet was replaced some time ago, and still looks almost new, with absolutely no rips or tears.  All of the glass looks to be original with correct manufacturing markings, and no cracks.           You will receive with this car the owners manual, and the original owner protection plan booklet containing the metal plate. The car was sold new in Connecticut.   The lights all work, and  the radio plays nicely. Heater, blower and defroster work, as well.  The chrome bumpers have a great shine and are not rusted, as you will see in my photos. The right chrome spear in front of the rear bumper has a few small dings. The paint isn't 'show' quality, but it has a good shine, and you should not be disappointed with the way it looks. The tires have 65% of the tread left. This car is a super nice choice because it is somewhat difficult to find in such great condition.  I have found it to be a real pleasure to drive.          If you have questions please ask before the auction ends. Thanks for looking                                                            The paint is not 'show; quality, but it is in very good condition, and it has a nice shine.               Two weeks ago the mileage was 105577  and today it is 105618 as shown in this photo. There are lots of copies of registrations for the car, and they state the mileage.  Also found a Midas Muffler receipt dated 3-1986 and it lists the mileage as 84,000 at that time.                   New door sill plates were installed last week. The underside of the doors are solid, and do not have any repair work.                    The top is a little tight on the sides above the door glass, but it doesn't have any rips or tears, and the back window is super clear. The zipper around the back window is like new, and works as it should.           The trunk floor is solid. No rust repair. I had a new trunk liner installed two weeks ago. The jack stand is also with the car.                   The engine compartment looks very nice. The oil and filter were changed last week. I have put 20 miles on the car since the oil was changed.         Last week I had the rear brake cylinders rebuilt, and installed new brake shoes. The brakes on this car work great.  Also replaced the rear axel bearings on both sides.            The undercarriage of this car looks terrific. Very solid.  I could not find any rust repair. The floors are solid. It is very clean for an undercarriage. The muffler and exhaust pipe are also in good condition.                         This is the area in front of the rear wheels. I removed the undercoating to show how solid this area is.                                   On Aug-28-12 at 16:34:51 PDT, seller added the following information:      I have had a question about the engine numbers, and the size of the carburetor.  I have some photos. The carburetor is the 4bbl. If I am not mistaking, the numbers on the engine start with an S and end with a G    From what I have read, that indicates the engine is the 185 HP    This is not certain, but I think it is possible.
