This particular leasing company requires their trucks to be serviced routinely and the mileage on their trucks is always almost 100% highway miles with very little towing. Even with this truck, I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. However, this truck has a minor transmission issue. Everything about the transmission works perfectly except the 1-2 shift (1st to 2nd gear). If you drive it very gently and keep the RPM's under 1500 or so, you won't ever notice anything. But if you're accelerating at any rate faster than that, you have to let off the accelerator for about 2 seconds for it to shift to 2nd gear. That's it! No slipping, no torque converter issues, no weird noises, and no issues at all with any of the other gears. When I bought it I had assumed it probably needed a new throttle body position sensor since that's fairly common on these trucks and causes the same symptom. However, the transmission shop I use determined that isn't the case here and to really fix it right they want to rebuild the transmission ($1,850). They also recommended replacing the rear brakes. My loss is your gain. This is an As-Is sale and the price is 100% firm. This is a great deal. ********************************* This is a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by the legendary 5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesel backed by the Automatic Transmission. The engine runs perfect and doesn't smoke. It does not have any blow-by at all and doesn't burn any oil. It also does not have any leaks. You'll find all the service records on the Carfax Report. No high performance modifications or programmers on this one. Everything is totally factory stock right down to the air intake and exhaust system. The body of this truck is very presentable, but not perfect. I took close-up pictures of all the bad spots and you'll find those pictures below. This truck hasn't ever been involved in any accidents or fender benders and the Carfax is perfectly clean. I do have the original tailgate but it doesn't latch and has a couple dents in it. The interior is in good condition. There aren't any cracks in the dash. The carpet and upholstery are all original and do show some slight wear, but everything works great. The tires are in great shape. The A/C is cold and the Heat is hot. It is 100% rust-free and I believe it's ready to drive anywhere, although I'm selling it As-Is because of the slight transmission issue.
