For Sale: 1979 Pontiac Trans Am 10th Anniversary Edition 36,700 Original Miles T.A.6.6 4 Speed Manual Transmission General Condition: Let me first state that this Trans Am is still in its original unrestored condition and still retails its original exterior paint, interior, and engine and drivetrain. This is simply put an unrestored original vehicle. Body and Paint: The exterior is in fantastic condition with no accidents ever and still retails all of its original body panels and paint. The paint is in amazing condition for its age and does not need any work. The car is 100 percent rust free. The cars exterior is in exceptional condition. Engine and Transmission: This TA was blessed with the TRUE Pontiac 400(T.A. 6.6 engine) and the last of REAL Trans Am’s. I believe only 1817 or so of these cars in the 10th Anniversary Edition we lucky enough to receive this power plant. The 400 was rated at 220 net HP back in the day but that number was underrated by almost 40 hp. The engine has recently received a new water pump, radiator, hoses and a new rear main seal for a GM Pontiac dealer. I have the receipts for that work. The transmission shifts nice and crisp in all four gears and the clutch grabs nice and tight. The car really performs well. The gas tank filler neck still has its unleaded hole so only unleaded fuel has been run in this motor. It sounds awesome and runs strong and smooth. Interior: The entire interior is original and in great condition. The seats, carpet(factory Cadillac shag), dash, door panels, package tray, console, door panels, etc are all in very nice shape and do not need to be replaced. Just like GM built it back in the day. The radio was replaced with a cassette stereo, but I do have the original GM 8 track with silver trim bezel and knobs that will go with the car. It will install back with ease. Trunk: The trunk compartment is mint with original space saver spare , jack, mat, GM Fisher T-Top bags, and factory remote truck release. Paperwork: I have tons of paperwork on this original car. 1) Original owner documentation for dealer and State of Michigan 2) Numerous registrations 3) Build Sheet(original laminated) 4) Window Sticker(original laminated) 5) PHS doc’s 6) Repair receipts 7) 10th Anniversary dealer allocation docs 8) Original warranty book, owners manuals, and delivery books 9) Appraisals This car is well documented!!
