Vehicle Detail
Hello, I bought this 944 to fix up a little and drive, taking advantage of the 30 mpg and having a cool car, then give to my son. But I haven't had the time and just lost my work area. The car is black on black (leather interior) and in overall very good shape. The previous owner had it for a long time and during the course of replacing the fuel pump damaged the torque tube. They also scuffed the paint on the front end and added chrome headlamp door covers. ( I am unsure why but whatever) I bought the car, bought a replacement torque tube and have not had the time to install it. I also bought new headlamp door covers (not chrome) The leather is split on the driver's seat bottom, but otherwise the interior is quite decent. There is a small ding on the pass fender and a couple on the r/r wheel well; that is the only damage that I saw, the body guy was amazed and thinking it was still original paint. The option sticker shows: Cat Convertor Bumper shocks, frt and rear Headlamp washers 15" Forged wheels. Cookie cutters, the lightest strongest and most sought after for spec racers wheels from Porsche. Cruise control Leather/leather/leatherette which translates to full leather front seats and leatherette on the backside (as I was told) This car is complete and doesn't seem to need much work to be a lot of fun. Mileage shows ~40000, the vehicle info shows it is 140; which is nothing for these cars. The winner of the auction also receives the replacement torque tube and headlamp door covers. This is also for sale locally, so bid early and bid to win. The car is being re-listed due to a bidder who did not pay, or even communicate! If you don't have any money please do not waste my time; I had it sold locally for $1500 but couldn't sell it due to this non-paying bidder tieing up the car. On Jul-31-12 at 07:12:25 PDT, seller added the following information: On carfax according to a person who checked, the mileage is 140k as I noted above it may be. Also the previous owner left the trans out (which is included) since it needs to be removed to replace the torque tube. And I have not tried to start the car since I bought it as doing so could cause damage with the driveshaft coming out of the torque tube.
