New, Improved Listing Very Clean 2010 Ford E350 XLT Extended 15 Passenger Van43,078.6 milesPerfect for a Church, School, or other Group Transportation Starting Bid - $3,000 Below the NADA Blue Book Value! No Reserve! Note: We had this van listed for sale on Ebay last week, but, much to our surprise (because we felt that our asking price was very reasonable), it didn't sell. But, because of present financial circumstances, we really need to sell the van. So, I have gone over the listing very carefully, seeing how I could improve it, and have made a couple of significant changes: 1. The tires on the van were pretty worn (7/32" tread depth). So I have had four new Nexen Rodian LT 245/75R16 tires installed. Please see the photos. 2. The step pad into the back passenger section was cracked along the top edge. So I installed a new step pad. See the photo of the old step pad removed and the new step pad installed. 3. I noticed that the mileage on the vehicle history report is incorrect. It shows that the mileage when it was registered in my name, when we lived in Onalaska, TX, was 42,205 miles. But the dealer must have recorded the mileage incorrectly on the title application, because I have kept a very careful mileage log, and when we picked the van up at Texas Direct Auto, the mileage was 42,607.1. So please bear with me while I give you an honest and accurate report of why the van now has 43,078.6 miles on it. After picking the van up at TDA in Stafford, we drove it a little over 100 miles to our home in Onalaska, then to a storage facility, then to the place where we had the trailer hitch installed, then back to the storage facility, then to Onalaska before we moved to Fredericksburg. When we left Onalaska, we first drove a little over 200 miles to San Marcos, Texas, where we were located for three weeks while we looked for employment. Then, we drove the van 85 miles to our present location in Fredericksburg. Since we have been in Fredericksburg, I have driven the van to a car wash facility, an oil change facility, to the store where we had the new tires installed, and that’s it. Please excuse the detailed explanation, but since there is a discrepancy between the mileage on the Vehicle History Report and the current mileage, I thought that I had better clarify that. The following description is, except for the changes noted above (new tires and step pad), basically the same as when we listed the van on Ebay last week. My name is Bob Giffin. I am a retired school teacher. My wife Donna, also a teacher, and I were planning on starting an after-school day care and tutorial service. So we needed a van to transport children after school. We found this nice, clean van at Texas Direct Auto in Stafford, a suburb of Houston, about 3 months ago (purchase date: 5/14/12). We checked the NADA Blue Book value through our credit union, and the price was right (about $3,000 under the $21,000 NADA value - http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2010/Ford/Econoline-E350-Wag-V8/Super-Duty-Extended-Wagon-XLT/Standard-Equipment). (The van retails new for over $35,000.) We had a mechanic check the engine, steering, and brakes - no defects, runs great. It was perfect for our purposes!Three seat belts on each passenger bench seat. Four on the rear bench seat. A total of 15 sets of seat belts, including the driver's seat.Speakers for radio and CD/MP3 player on passenger section door and rear doors.Air conditioning in front and back sections separately controlled. Six louvered overhead air outlets in passenger section.Three overhead, individually-controlled lights in passenger section.Beverage holders in passenger section. One cigarette lighter and ash tray in passenger section.Very clean. No stains or tears in the upholstery or carpet. No missing or broken parts on the interior. Two small exterior defects:Right, front bumper slightly dented on side. Hardly noticeable. See photo.A short section underneath the rear passenger door, above where running board was mounted, dented and scuffed. Barely noticeable from above. See photos. No other noticeable dents, chips, or scratches on exterior. Paint in beautiful condition.Engine runs great. We had a compression check and computer analysis (OBD2) done on it - no problems. Runs off FLEX fuel or regular gasoline.Handles fine. Brakes, steering, and transmission perfect.NEW TIRES (see photos)We added a trailer hitch and wiring harness so that we could pull our 5X8 cargo trailer for group excursions. A ball mount, 2" ball, and lock pin for the ball mount are included. We added running boards for easier step-up for children and the elderly. However, we ran into serious financial problems. Donna had to resign from her teaching job - our primary source of support - because of health problems and has not been able to land another job. So, we MUST sell the van and cargo trailer, and have removed the reserve price we had on it when we first listed it on Ebay. All that we want is to recover what we have put into the van, not including taxes, license, insurance, improvements (including new tires) and extras, on which we will have to take a loss. Extras include the trailer hitch and wiring harness (about $450 installed), the running boards ($299), and a protective cover for the van ($134). You will be hard-pressed to find a van with 43K miles on it in better condition than this one. Since we brought it home, except when we moved, we have kept it in either an enclosed storage unit or covered. The van had one previous owner - a vehicle rental agency - when Texas Direct Auto acquired it. When we left TDA with the van on 5/14, it had a little over 42,600 miles on it. It was about 100 miles to where we lived at that time. We placed the van in storage there. Since then, we have had to move about 300 miles, to the Texas Hill Country, seeking employment. So, at the present time, as I am writing this description, the van has 43,078.6 miles on it. We purchased the van through our credit union, so, when the van is purchased, that lien will have to be cleared. As soon as we have received payment in full (when the van is picked up or delivered), we will issue a bill of sale, wire the money to our credit union and have them overnight the title to us, which we sign and send to the purchaser. When purchased, the van may be picked up in Fredericksburg, Texas. Or, I will deliver the van anywhere within 100 miles of Fredericksburg for free. It is 70 miles from Fredericksburg to the San Antonio International Airport, if the purchaser wants to pick the van up there. I will deliver the van anywhere farther than 100 miles for 75 cents per mile (the first 100 miles are free). All inquiries concerning the van are welcome. You are also welcome to inspect the van in person in Fredericksburg. Contact me through Ebay or at 936-327-2188. Bob Giffin
