1940 Ford Pickup, built to look like a 1960"s style show truck or something right out of a copy of Rod and Custom little pages. Original California truck its whole life until coming to the east coast a few years ago, always garaged. and has never seen rain, all sheet metal stripped to bare metal, no old 10 layers of paint here to worry about. Original I-beam dropped axle with old original chrome on axle, steering arms and spindles from the 60's build, everything else has been updated. 350 SBC chevy with a 350 turbo automatic, 70's F-150 ford rear on parallel leaf springs, original dropped axle front end with stock 1940 steering. Power booster dual master with stock drum bakes all around, custom grafted 1940 deluxe car front end, ( no these can't just be bolted on as the cab contours are different). Hood is sectioned from two hoods, ( pickup and deluxe car) also nosed and peaked with center welded shut. Lowered all the way round with dropped front axle and lowered rear springs, 15" wide white walls with 1955 Oldsmobile full wheel covers. fire wall smoothed and custom built radiator,early original M/T finned valve covers and custom early 60s large mushroom air cleaner. Interior is custom roll and pleated with custom aluminum dash, original elco style aluminum under dash pod with S/W gauges and early style tach. 1948 ford steering wheel, Lokar crome swan neck shifter with nuetral safety switch, Custom made bed cover with matching tailgate chain covers all new tinted glass with new rubber seals and window channel and sweeps.
