Vehicle Detail
Presenting a wonderfully prepared and fully restored 1964 Karmann Ghia coupe. Finished in Henna Red over linen and grey interior, this car has as much eye and curb appeal as one could ever hope for in an affordable yet rapidly appreciating German collector automobile. There's no question that KGs have recently landed on the radar of collectors the world over, and among those - just like the Porsche 911s that lead them - the early year, "small bumper" cars are the ones to have. This example has been fully restored from a rust free original example, and needs nothing. Not a Pebble beach trailer queen, but a high end driver or local show winner finished to a very nice standard, and sure to turn heads everywhere it goes. This car has been housed within my Porsche collection, and is flanked by beautiful 930s, 911s, Speedsters and more - and the KG is the one often drawing the most attention from on lookers! The subtle modifications like chrome trim and bumper guard delete, and "Mahle" style wheels really set this example apart. The interior has been finished to a high degree, and again tastefully modified from the original, just enough to exhibit the quality of workmanship that went in to the restoration. The engine of the car has been finely tuned with a dual port carb, and starts, runs and drives beautifully every time. The car rides on all new suspension, tires and brakes as well. Essentially every mechanical component of this beautiful Karman Ghia is restored, refurbished or new. Please review the pictures to get a better idea of this gem. Feel free to request more shots if required or helpful in the decision making process. Or, if possible, the best bet is to schedule a time to see this KG in person, and I am happy to accommodate such an appointment. Remember all those early Porsche 356s & 911s you could've bought for next to nothing way back when? Have you seen what those cars are bringing on the open market lately? I recently watched a Karmann Ghia (not nearly this nice) bring over $20K at a Mecum collector car auction. There just aren't that many completely needless and rust free examples out there. Don't miss the next big thing. I encourage all potential buyers to come inspect the car in person prior to buying or bidding. Feel free to call me with any questions or for more information. Car condition is subjective. I have owned over 100 Porsches, and am picky about my cars, but potential owners should decide for themselves if this car is for them. Car is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, no warranty expressed or implied. I can help with very reasonable shipping arrangements, but transportation is ultimately the responsibility of the buyer. Finally, feel free to email or call me at 574-361-5315 with any questions, more details, or if you'd like to make an offer. Many more pics are available. Good luck!
