Vehicle Detail

Original numbers matching engine and transmission. 318 2 BBL V8. No reserve listing with a buy it now option. Bought the car a few months back with the intent to restore, but am now getting married next spring and need to save for that instead. I have not done much to it since buying it. I did have the carb rebuilt. Needs to be timed yet. Start, runs and drives. Brand new tires all around, Crager slots. Oil changed, new plugs wires, rotor. Guy I bought it from was going to turn into a daily driver, he did the body work. Car is in primer gray now. I am not an expert at that, but there are a couple areas that a more discerning eye might want to touch up. He also was dying the interior black from it's original white so you will see a couple panels that are black. The interior is all there and all original. A pillar plastic molding panels are in not too good a shape. Original vinyl bucket seats are in good shape. The drivers will need to be recovered or have a seat cover put on. The passenger side bucket seat and the back seat are in great shape. Back seat looks like no one ever sat in it. They are very dirty and will need a thorough cleaning. Rallye dash, 120 MPH speedo. Only one small crack in dash and doesn't look bad. Original radio still installed. Nothing seems to be missing from the interior, all knobs and switches are there. Glove box is in beautiful shape. Carpet is good, driver quality, needs a headliner and the bows are there. Package tray is ok, again driver quality. Frame and underneath vehicle are solid with only surface rust from what I can tell. Trunk has some rust in corners, seems mostly surface or a little worse than that. Might be a pin hole or two. Disk brakes on front. Air conditioning. Windshield and back window trim are in excellent shape, will probably need new rubber windshiled seals and about half the trim clips are missing. These items are inexpensive and easy to find. All the wiring harnesses are there and work as far as I can tell. The front turn signals need new bulbs. It is missing the front turn signal/side marker lenses. SE hood ornament is gone. Was originally a vinyl top, that is long gone. Triple white car originally. Was re-painted blue at some point. Engine bay could use a cleaning or dressing up. Brand new battery. Buyer responsible for shipping and I will work with your shipper. Cash, money order or paypal accepted. Car is in great shape for its age, needs some work yet. I have not had time to do very much or mess around with it and am trying to point out everything I know of without leaving anything out. I do have a clear title and car is curently registered in my name. Sold as is. She does start, run and drive. Does need timing set though. I posted a video to you tube you can check out if you want. I had a Buy It Now price of $3,500 on it Or Best Offer. I didn't realize that goes away after the first bid. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding that. I also wanted to mention the passenger side opera/louvre was broken at some point in time. It is missing right side of the louvre. Nothing major but wanted to mention it. On Aug-06-12 at 17:06:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Another update. There have been a lot of questions. A LOT of the same questions. First, a couple things I would like to add before I get to them. The car was originally White. At some point repainted blue top to bottom, inside and out. The underside of the hood is in rough shape. There is rust and peeling paint. Also I tried to clean off the back seat today after work and the dirt is really on there and I was not able to make much headway with the soapy water I tried. The center armrest is in good shape vinyl wise but the dirt seems almost stained on there along the two side hinges. The interior will need a good/professional cleaning. Some of the kick panels are chalky in areas. Other than the driver seat, the rest of the vinyl is in incredible shape for its age. OK, now on to some of the questions. The front wheel wells are in great shape. The rear wheel wells in front of the tires show some rust along the bottom. It appears he fixed the outside but hadn't yet got to the area in the wheel wells. The build sheet is there under the back seat, it is brittle & old that it is in pieces and will not come out in one piece. Could be put back together once taken out, I guess. There is no rust on the outside of the body itself but there are some areas of flakes/chips in the primer. He was still working on it when he sold it off. As to what was there for rust before, it seems the area where the A and C pillars meet the roof line and along the back part of the roof, there was rust that was removed and fixed with filler. There was once a vinyl top and I'm guessing it had a rip or two and water got under there. The headliner is gone and I can see surface rust on the roof inside and a area where he fixed two small holes. Cragers are not bad and I think would further clean up quite nicely. Some pitting and marring. The passenger side rear is missing the center hub. The fender tag is there and is decoded below. I will also try and attach a picture of it. I know it seems I am pointing out all the bad things about this car but there is a lot of great things about it too, mostly original, triple white car, in good shape. There is rust in areas, but nothing that can't be fixed. I simply don't want anyone to be mislead. This is a 38 year old car and needs some work depending on your level of want. If you are looking for a daily driver, you are not far off, if you are looking to completely restore, there is work to be done. If I missed your question or you have more, let me know.
