* The title of this vehicle states its a 1949 dodge Desoto (Title and VIN numbers match). However, my research shows it is probably a 1948. The butterfly hood was replaced by an alligator hood in 1949. The front of the vehicle matches other 48 dodges. Regardless, it was running and parked in 2002. As you can see from the pictures, the body is in very good condition for its age. It has very little exterior rust pitting, mostly the rails under the doors, but not the doors themselves! All hinges work well and the trunk has the special cyclops 3rd eye brake light. The interior front needs a new floor. The back seat floor and trunk floor metal are in good shape. The trunk is filled with extra parts and required parts which would otherwise be difficult to find. There are even the original parts that can be used as patterns to make new ones. This vehicle is priced to move due to lack of storage space. Please, only serious bidders. *
