Item offered is a 1954 Pontiac Star Chief Catalina Coupe (two door hardtop). This car is equipped with an eight cylinder flathead engine (original equipment) and a four speed Hydra-matic transmission. I have owned this vehicle since 1987 and I am the second registered owner. It has always been garaged and has not been driven in the winter months since 1987. The car is equipped with the original leather interior; front and rear bumper guards and wings; spotlght/mirror combination lights (2) left and right; underseat heater with defroster; radio; outside factory sunvisor; fender skirts; back up lights; wire wheel hubcaps (original equipment); power brakes. The hydrovac power brake unit was just rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt at about 75,000 miles. The Hydra-matic transmission has never been re-built and will leak approximately one (1) quart of fluid in 2500 miles. The vehicle was repainted with the proper nitro-cellouse lacquer and the original colors when I purchased it in 1987. The hood and front fenders were just refinished in July 2012 to repair chips, etc. The front seat bottom seams are beginning to separate and need to be re-sewn. The car has it's original leather interior from the factory. I have driven the car about 70,000 miles since 1987. It is a very reliable vehicle and has been driven to Florida; Iowa; Canada; Mississippi as well as Virginia, Ohio and other states inbetween. It is a certified AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) HPOF (Historic Preservation of Original Features) vehicle and proudly wears the AACA HPOF badge affixed to the front plate. Relocation compels me to sell this vehicle.
