Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1972 Triumph TR-6 convertible that has been treated to an extensive frame off restoration. Included with the car is a book two inches thick with many thousands of dollars worth of invoices for parts and services. The body has been removed, repaired and repainted. The frame has been stripped, reinforced and painted, and the following (actually more) has been done as you would expect. Brake system overhauled with all new parts, including master cylinder, booster, calipers, rotors, hoses, rear drums, cylinders, shoes, ect. Rebuilt A-type overdrive gearbox (seven forward speeds) Rebuilt engine (to stock specs) with rebuilt distributor, alternator, radiator, late model red 13 blade fan, spin-on oil filter, new fuel pump, water pump, cap & wires, act. 135 PSI on all cylinders, 65 PSI oil pressure at 2800 RPM Rehabilated fuel system Rebuilt differential from Victoria British Six new u-joints Magic clutch kit from the Roadster Factory, new master and slave cylinders Original style stainless steel exhaust system Rebuilt suspension upgraded with poly bushings and heavy duty rear shocks from Apple Hydraulics New interior with black carpet, tan vinyl & fabric seats, tan panels, new door and dash (top & bottom) "crash pads" New door glass channels, winders, handles and seals New transmission tunnels, front and rear New windshield, seals, trim New top of the line convertible top with zip-out rear window and reflective stripes New cover for top when it is down (not tonneau cover), new full car cover all weather New trunk panel trim kit and carpet new rubber body seals (door, trunk, hood, act.) New front spoiler New retractable seat belts with chrome aviation style buckles Jensen stero CD player with 4" speakers in new "kidney pads" Back-up front hood release from Macy's Garage New battery and cables to compliment the excellent original wiring harness, new head light buckets, horns B.F. Goodrich 205/70-15 Touring T/A blackwall radial tires (spare has never been on the ground) New jack and tire tool (non original) Needless to say, this car is pretty damn nice! The mechanicals are perfect but some items should be noted, the chrome on the bumpers are showing patina, the new windshield has a small stone chip, one door has a chip at handle area. The paint is a budget job compared to the mechanicals. I have been watching TR6's on ebay and it seems that all the overdrive cars are late models with the J-type OD and rubber bumper bashers. Amazingly, the low mileage, unrestored cars are bringing big bucks. I think that there are just two kinds of TR6's.... restored and unrestored. Can you imagine all the work one of those "low mileage, unrestored" cars will require? I have a stack of receipts for this car that hints to the folly of purchasing an unrestored TR6. You can drive this car home, no matter where you live in North America, it is that reliable! If you require shipping I will assist in the pickup, meet the driver, call you, make sure the car is on the truck and then give you another call. GOOD LUCK IN THE BIDDING, this is a NO RESERVE!
