Vehicle Detail

1938 Ford 2 Door Sedan Deluxe Seldom seen all steel (except fiberglass rear fenders) street / race rod. Originally car was built as a street rod and driven as such. I then rebuilt the engine, added a pro built TH 400, and went racing. Best time was 11.95 @ 115 mph. It usually runs 12.10 to 12.30 108-110 mph. depending on temp and humidity etc. It’s a nice car to drive on the street, has excellent traffic manners and does not overheat in a parade. The car launches hard and straight on the strip and can be quite docile on the street. It will idle nice and smooth at 800 rpm and rip right up to whatever chip you put in the box. I have never run it over 7500. I have a 5800 shift light chip and the car will go through the lights at 7300. The front window cranks out and the cowl vent also gives great circulation. This car was not run at all in 2004, once in 2005 and about 10 race days in 2006. It has a huge back seat. It takes about 20 minutes to change the bucket seat out for the front bench seat. There are a few scrapes and dings (one spot in the rear where the back roll pan is dinged). I painted it with a full system from Martin Senyor paints from sealer, primer, base coat and clear coat. All new glass (tinted slightly copper color). I really don’t use the car except for a cruise night once and a while.
