This muscle car is in excellent shape and looks beautiful with its gorgeous and factory correct Acapulco Blue paint finished over a beautiful Parchment interior, for me this is the ultimate color combination. This is a rare opportunity to own a 97k original mile car, MATCHING NUMBERS, 1 family owned( 2 owner) 1968 Ford Mustang with documentation back to when it was new. I purchased the car from the second owner whos grandfather purchased it brand new in Pasadena California in 1968. AMAZINGLY I have the original window sticker, purchase documents and even receipts dating back to 1969. I have been dealing in Mustangs for YEARS and I have never come across one with this few owners and this many receipts. . Lots of money has been poured into this classic Mustang. This is a solid rust free California/Arizona car with solid original floors and rear quarters. This car was loaded from the factory was built with factory Air conditioning, Power steering, Power Brakes, Disc Brakes, 3 point seats, Tilt-away steering wheel, and an Automatic transmission. This car represents itself as it left the factory. The car even retains its original spare tire!!! With new paint, new interior, new wheels and tires and all new rubber gaskets this car is TURN KEY. This is a great driving car and is a great car to drive every day or to take to your local car show. This car has had tons of money poured into it and it truly shows!! Click to enlarge Exterior: This Mustang is finished in the beautiful factory Ford color of Acapulco Blue Metallic with a contrasting Parchment interior. The car was just painted within the last year. It is unlikely that you will see another one driving down the road in this color combination. It is very hard to find a Mustang in this color and stands out from the typical red mustang or "Bullet Clone." The body on this car is LASER Straight and the car doesnt appear to have ever been involved in any accidents. The car retains its original body panels and floors. This Mustang has EXCELLENT panel gaps all the way around the car. This Mustang is rust free and retains its original floors that are rock solid. There wont be any disappoints if you are concerned with rust. After the car painted it was treated to new weather stripping, window trim, badges, emblems, gas cap etc... The car does retain its original chrome bumpers and original chrome trim around the grill and trunk. Original parts are always nicer fitting than remade pieces. The car looks absolutely beautiful. The cars exterior is set off by a great looking set of authentic American Racing Torque Thrust wheels wrapped in Raised White Letter BFGs giving the car that great "period" appearance. Click to enlarge Interior: The Interior of this muscle car perfectly compliments the exterior. The Parchment interior is like new and in fantastic shape. The front and rear seats are new and in perfect shape. The door panels and carpet are all new and in excellent shape as well. The headliner, dash pad and sun visors are in great condition. This Mustang retains its original Philco radio that really completes the classic look of the interior, it however is currently non-operational. A modern radio could be installed in the glove box to preserve the classic and original look of the interior as well as upgrade the overall sound quality. All of the cars gauges work great as do all of the warning lights etc.. The A/C does blow cold. This Mustang has a couple of options on the interior that are very rare for a 68 mustang, a tilt away steering wheel and 3 point belts. The tilt away steering wheel is actually a very convenient option to have! Overall the interior is in EXCELLENT condition and looks spectacular in combination with the paint. Click to enlarge Engine: The V8 fires right up and runs like a top. The Engine starts right up first time every time and the car runs very smooth. The engine doesnt skip a beat and the car is a very strong runner. This car has only travelled 97k miles since new and I have receipts to back it up as well a title stating original miles. The engine is the original 289 and the car is NUMBERS MATCHING. The Ford V-8 runs nice and smooth without skipping a beat. The engine runs strong and does not blow any smoke during start up or while driving. The engine bay is very clean and the engine has not been detailed and repainted. The car has just been kept this clean for the last 45 years!!! The Automatic transmission on this Mustang shifts nicely through all the gears. The Power Disc Brakes are very responsive and stop this pony with ease. The car stops and steers straight and is a joy to drive. The power steering works excellent and there are no leaks. The A/C does blow cold and is really nice to have. I have receipts dating back to 1969 on this car. This is a great driving car and it is lots of fun to be seen in. This is a nice solid rust free car that is very straight and looks fantastic in person. This car is in great shape cosmetically and mechanically.
