General: This car is still being driven daily by its original purchaser, a professional person who uses the car for commuting to a nearby office and for local errands. It is also sometimes used for short road trips. The car was purchased from and has been maintained by Sewell Automotive, a dealer organization well-known in Texas for its high level of integrity and service. The car was purchased from Sewell Saab. Background: Founded 60 years ago by 16 aircraft engineers (only two of whom, according to company legend, had a driver's license), Saab was years ahead of the industry in applying technologies like turbochargers and front-wheel-drive. To this day their cars have an air of individualism that adds greatly to their appeal. When this car was purchased in 2007, the 9-5 Aero was Saab’s top-of-the-line model. The Aero’s sport-tuned suspension was reported by reviewers to provide magnificent handling and roadholding. The car responds promptly and smoothly to steering inputs, so it feels as if you can go around curves just by wishing. Like a true performance car, the ride is very firm -- thank goodness for those super-comfy seats. Condition: This car has been maintained well. It looks nice and drives well. With the exception of the situation noted below, this is a very clean car, consistent with its low mileage and good care. We have always been proud to own the car and we’ve enjoyed driving it. It has a very few blemishes on the interior and exterior, because it is not a new car. With the exception noted below, it is a very nice car for its age and mileage. Exception: This car was recently caught in a hailstorm and suffered minor dimpling. There was no broken glass or other dramatic damage, but the hail left some shallow dimples in the hood, roof and trunk. The dimples are not very apparent even up close and pretty much invisible from a distance. But, we have included with this listing one or two photos taken at angles that show them. We feel that many buyers of this car would prefer to buy the car “right” and not have the dimples removed or fixed. Therefore, we are selling the car AS IS. That way, we can offer the car at a lower price. Hopefully, you will agree this is a fair trade.
