You are bidding on a 1956 Ford F100 (RAT ROD). This truck is mechanical sounds, I drive the truck regularly and have been to cars shows as far away as 450 miles away in this truck. Very reliable and road worthy. The cab, bed, & front clip have been channeled down over the frame giving it the low rider look!! It is equipped with the original straight axle under the front end, and a 9 inch Ford posi track rearend with truck leaf spring suspension under the rear. The truck is powered by a 302 ci small block Ford engine, with headers, turbo mufflers, followed up with a T5 5 speed manual transmission out of a 1989 Mustang GT. The fuel tank was removed from it original position (inside the cab) and a new 12 gallon fuel cell was purchased from Summit Racing Equipment and mounted between the frame rails behind the rear end of the truck. Their is mounts on the rearend and frame to mount ladder bars for DRAG RACING, the ladder bars have been removed to improve the comfort of the ride. The truck is also equipped with power brakes and a line lock for awesome burnouts! The line lock I think is illegal in some states, but can be easily removed. It is also equipped with the large Auto Meter Tach, and three gauge cluster for temperature, oil, and voltage. It has a manual engine fan and an electric fan toggle switch control as well. The seats are off of an old sand rail dune buggy that was handy when the project was built. The truck has all the original glass in the the cab. Both side windows are cracked & and the front windshield includes it very own "real" bullet hole, making it look really cool for the rat rod theme. This truck does draw alot of attention anywhere it goes. I guess by now you are wondering why im selling this truck? This is not a have to sell, im not hard up for money or any of the jazz! Truth is I have another project that im working on and simply just need the room. I do reserve the right to end this auction at anytime because the truck is for sell here locally. The only mechanical problem currently know at this point with the truck is it needs a header gasket at the collector on the right side header. Easy fix!!! The mileage field in this ad is incorrect. Actual miles are unknown.On Jul-16-12 at 17:19:00 PDT, seller added the following information: I would like to advise another defect that I just noticed on the truck. Im not sure If it was backed into in a parking lot or if I may have backed into something but the right rear taillight lense is busted! It cost $43.00 to replace if need be I will deduct that from the sell price. SORRY!
