Up for auction is a 1986 Ford Mustang GT. It is a 5 speed with t-tops (that dont leak). Engine runs strong and runs smooth once warmed up. When cold idles low but only for a few mins till warm. Front and Rear Seats have been re-covered and there is a new rug installed. The interior is in very good condition as seen in the pics. Although a racing seat is pictured the car will come with the correct stock seat which is also newly re-covered. The car has koni adjustable shocks, eibach springs, msd ignition, front anti-sway bar, ford racing plugs and RCI harnesses. I have owned the car for almost 8 years now and have not used it since 2007. I start it once a week and still change the oil regularly and it is garaged all the time. The car was used as an autocross car for a season and then the roll cage was added with the thought of some HPDE events. Since then 3 kids have come along and not alot of time for racing (although my 10 year old gets to race karts) go figure..... Anyway the autopower cage was a bolt in cage which we ended up welding together and that we welded in to the floors and also added nascar style bars. We altered the rung to fit around the cage. This cage was made specifically to accomodate the t-tops so as to not alter the cars original specs. Other than welding the cage to the floor of the car the interior remains intact and the cage can be removed if you wanted to bring this back to stock. In current form the t-tops can be removed and put back in without a problem. The car also has newer fuel lines, brake lines, master cylinder, fowmasters and h-pipe with cats and a few more items i may be forgetting. The car is street legal but not registered currently. I have a CT title for the car under my name and it is clean. The paint is in good condition but it is not flawless by any means. The car will come with either the 17" rims or the 10 hole rims, you pic which ones. The vinyl decals will be removed prior to pickup. Remember this is a non-restored, not perfect, 26 year old car with a roll cage in it. It runs, drives, stops and starts. Know what you are bidding on and ask questions in advance.
