For Sale is a rare TDI wagon with a 5-speed manual transmission. This car began life with a 2 liter gasoline engine, and an automatic transmission. At some point, the owner couldn't figure out why the alternator wasn't charging (it was a blown fuse) and after replacing it twice, sold the car. We got this car, took out the gas engine and automatic transmission and installed a TDI engine out of a 2003 donor car with 152K miles. Along with the diesel engine, the car received a manual gearbox and everything else that was diesel specific. So now we have this clean and completely rust-free Jetta TDI Wagon with a 5-speed manual transmission and it runs great! Everything is just like factory, down to fuse locations, and you cannot tell it's a swap car, because every TDI detail was transferred over. Please make an effort to come see the car ahead of bidding if at all possible, you won't be disappointed! After all, our shop specializes in these swaps! Everything works in this car, the timing belt is recent (changed in 2011, only 15K miles on it!), has good brakes, tires, tight suspension, good solid clutch. Full disclosure: There is a dent in the rocker panel, under the rear-right door (no rust there, paint still on). There is a rock chip in the windshield on the pass side.
