Vehicle Detail

Up for Auction is a very original 59 Edsel Villager, 4-door, 6-passenger wagon. This car spent the majority of its life in western Nebraska and Colorado. I believe I am the third owner. The original owner owned the car for most of its life and took very good care of it and has been well cared for since. In 59 Ford only made 5,687 of these Villager wagons out of the 44,000 total Edsel production, making this wagon very rare. Especially when you consider its 53 years old. It really shows how well this car was cared for when you also consider that its 100% original paint in Desert Tan with Redwood Metallic, chrome, stainless, glass etc... The interior is mostly original as well. The body on this car is straight and has very little rust. The floors all look very nice and solid from underneath, under the rear seat and in the spare tire well are also very rust free. The tail gate jamb and all of the door jambs look perfect. All of the chromed pot metal trim is very nice with almost no pitting. All of the chrome and stainless is straight and beautiful. The windshield (small crack) and one of the rear door windows is cracked, the rest of the glass is very nice. The interior is original and all there. The floor mat is brittle and cracking along with the headliner. The dash is very nice. All of the gauges work, all of the lenses and chrome look nice. The rear seat is still covered in the original Straw pattern vinyl! I have driven the car and it drives great. The engine, which is a 332 c.i. FE with 225 h.p. and 325 ft. lb torque has good power, does not smoke or leak oil. It makes light valve noise from sitting around so much but it runs great. The transmission, Fords "Mile O Matic" shifts well and works as it should. Quiet rear differential and great brakes. It stops even and smooth with no issues. Everything on this wagon works; lights, turn signals, radio (needs the antenna aerial), speedo, gauges, lighter, wipers etc.... Even the windows roll up and down well. There could be some minor something that does not work but I have not found it yet. The exhaust system is fine with no leaks, has brand new whitewall tires and a new battery. If you are looking for a very unique wagon that is very original, has some cool patina and that is very useable.........then this is the wagon for you! Its ready for the local cruise or would be a great candidate for a restoration. Please bid with confidence and note that I have been with ebay since 2001 with 100% feedback rating. Clean Title ready to transfer. I am happy to answer questions at 303 475-4544. I do not want to disclose the reserve because this is a auction and I want you to bid. Thank you for viewing my 59 Edsel Villager Wagon.
