Classic and rare 1982 American Eagle SX/4 sport for sale. I bought the car on Ebay couple years ago. Im selling it for much lower than I paid for it. I love the car, enjoy the looks the car gets and the stories from people who know AMC. Im getting married and dont have the room for the car any more. The car runs pretty good. It drives down the road great. Im having a problem with the drivers side door not wanting to close but will probably have that fixed by time you see it. The interior is in great shape. The exterior doesnt have any rust. Which is a rare quality in these cars. It does have some rough spots like where someone tried prying the passenger door open. All these things are minor consider the rarity of the car and the price im willing to let it go for. Anyone who has looked for these cars will say. This Car is a great find and in excellant shape. They dont make these babies any more. The company doesnt even exist any more. Im getting married and just dont have the room for it any longer. The Eagle runs pretty good, idles fine and drives down the road I swear like new. I was having problems with the drivers door handle linkage but ive got it working and it opens the door now. The hatchback opens if you push down on the hatch back while someone pushes the button. I needs adjustment and it will work fine. The passenger door you will see on the pictures looks like someone in the past tried prying the door open. UGH!! There is a dent on the drivers door that very fixable......not bad. Two bumper corners are missing. Other than the things I listed the car is in really great shape. Zero rust under the car, body is solid. New tires, shocks, exhaust from the converter back is new. The transmission was rebuilt recently. All glass is in excellant shape. The interior in some areas i swear is better than you would see on a car thats 5 years old. The interior is in pretty decent shape. The seats front and back are in excellant shape. The carpet is ok , looks great if you have floor mats on it but there are some wear marks under the mats. Id say excellant for a car its age. You wont be sorry or disappointed i can honestly say that. The American Motors company is gone. You'll be buying a car thats rare. You probably wont see another one on the road. Well it would be a rare day if you did. This is the SX/4...its sporty , its 4 wheel drive and it looks good. Give it a paint job and thats about all it really needs.
