Vehicle Detail

Up for Auction is a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. It is a 5 year old restoration that has been kept in a garage out of the weather. It is a fun car to drive and has been to many car shows winning Best Pontiac as well as several top 15 and 20 plaques. Engine: 6.6 Litre Pontiac 400 that has been completely balanced and blue printed then rebuilt original block turning it into a Pontiac 461 with an eagle specialties stroker kit installed. The following is what was put into the engine; Eagle Specialties crankshaft with 4.250 stroke .030 pistons and file fit rings included with the kit. double roller timing chain and gears 10,000 rpm fluid dampner Competition cams roller cam The 6x heads have the following; roller rockers 1.65:1 and roller lifters installed, new valve guides as well as over sized valves both intake and exhaust.with matching springs. Exhaust manifolds were changed to Ram Air 3 flowing into side pipes. The original intake and carburator is installed on this build. The Transmission is the Super T-10 4speed with a center force 2 pressure plate as a stock one will only slip due to high hp and torque from the engine build. The rear gearing is 3.42:1 posi. The interior seats reupholstered ,headliner, carpet replaced, rear package tray replaced, sail and kicker panels were painted to match and replaced. This car is an all original matching number vehichle. The body was blasted to the bare metal with walnut shells to find imperfections. They were repaired and the car has minimal filler on it.It was painted back to the original color with PPG 24 Pontiac Martinique Blue. Brakes rotors and drums all new with new wheel bearings. Tires are new B.F.Goodrich 225/70/15 on the front and 275/50/15 on the rear. The radio is an AM/FM/CB factory Ac Delco radio back in the day this was a 630.00 option. The needs are very few on this car. This is what needs to be adressed; Heater/AC control needs new cables installed as they are frozen from years of non use,AC belt installed and system charged from years of non use,sun visors dyed to match and re-installed.The tire rod ends, ball joints and center link are all original but do not have an issue with them as the car steers straight with no tire wear evident.Just thought i would mention that. The shocks and springs are also original from 1978. This vehichle is being sold AS IS WHERE IS with NO WARRANTY expressed or implied. No Joy Riders Please I will miss this car as it was a project build with my son but at this time we need the space and we don't drive it enough to warrant keeping it in storage when I know someone out there will enjoy taking this car to Car Shows or just out for a cruise in the country or maybe in a parade.Would make a great gift for that graduating high school or college senior.May consider partial trades for example 3 bedroom farmhouse with land that has private sewer and water or 99 or newer 26+foot Camper or toyhauler camper + cash,VW trike or Harley trike plus the differnce in cash.I have over 28,500.00 invested in the car so i ask that serious bidders only.
