Vehicle Detail
I have a 1970 Mark Donohue Javelin, 360 4 sp up for auction. This is a very solid car needing lower quarter work behind the raer wheels when done over. I bought this car to fix and drive but something else I wanted became available so I did a bunch of work to it and now I am selling it. The 360 was completely rebuilt and has very low miles on it. It has an all MSD ignition system in it to include the MSD 6A L box, MSD coil and MSD Billet Dist. It runs and sounds awesome. The 4sp seems to shift fine and the clutch seems to be good. It has a limited slip rear with 3.54 gears. A really nice exhaust that sounds tough. The Body needs work. It was painted Yellow by somebody and they did a crappy job. They pretty much painted everything. It has the Ram air hood and had an orig rear spoiler that was broken off by somebody by pushing on it. The door tag says it was orig Glen Green and the car was built in March of 70 which is when the majority of the MD Javelins were built. The floors are rock solid as is the rockers and gussets. There are a couple of dents in the roof from Icicles falling out of a tree one winter. I have loads of pics but am only going to post a few. If interested in more or specific shots please send me a message with your e-mail and I will gladly send them to you. All glass is good. Interior is pretty nice but could use some things. The seats, front back and the center armrest have all been redone with legendary auto int kit. I also installed a brand new carpet kit. The dash is a new repro one and looks nice. The clock does not work but thats nothing new on these. door panels are OK. The headliner is hanging bot should be an easy fix. When I got the car the wiring was a mess. Nothing worked and it was cut and put back together with wire nuts. I took and redid the whole thing by sldering and shrink tubing the joints and retaping the harness. I also found a some wires under the dash that were all messed. I fixed them the same way. It all works nice now and the interior lights actually come on when you open the door. The car had the 14" Magnums on it but I had a pair of 15" Magnums so I put the on the back. I think it looks better. Also has air shocks in rear. This is a Go Pack car with disc brakes in the front. They were upgraded to a newer set up with single piston calipers. This is a car you can drive for the summer and redo in the fall or winter. I am pretty sure there is over 2500 in the motor and 1500 in the interior. Car is sold as is where is with no expressed warranty. I will help in loading of vehicle. It does run and drive. Thank You and good luck. I reserve the right to end auction early as it is advertised for sale in a few other places. Don't be the guy to email and ask what happened to the car!On Jun-22-12 at 15:27:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I just added new pics. I have a small video if anyone wants to see it and hear it run just send an e-mail.
