Vehicle Detail
A unique opportunity to own a rare highly optioned car. Only 81 examples of the 1972 Buick GS Stage 1 were ever produced. This is a stunning car with very shiny Fire Red paint, white convertible top(1 of 8 built with this combination) and Dark Saddle interior(1 of 14). Recent Mecum and Barrett Jackson auctions have seen identical cars sell for around $60k. This one can be owned for a fraction of that price. Frame off restoration completed back in 1996, but has held up very well over time. Sloan museum documentation. This car is ready to be enjoyed right now with a strong Buick Stage 1 455 engine rebuilt by Wildcat Performance Engines in Adel, Ga. Needs nothing mechanically. Many receipts from all aspects of the restoration. The car currently has headers with mandrel bend custom exhaust(numbers matching exhaust manifolds included with car). Numbers matching distributor comes with the car but is not installed. TH400 Automatic transmisson rebuilt Feb 2012. Original qjet not with the car. It now has a brand new edelbrock carb and intake(Cast iron intake included, but not installed). A/C works flawlessly and is very cold. Has brand new Custom Auto Sound digital radio with all new speakers(original stock radio included). Everything works, but the clock. The clock was restored, but has recently stopped. Only the seconds hand is working. This car is not museum quality but is a carefully driven #2. There are a couple of rock chips in the paint, but nothing serious. The paint is extremely shiny clearcoat. NO Rust anywhere. The chrome on the bumpers is ok as-is, but could use re-chroming to really make the car even more of a knock out. Hood tach was is not factory and was added by previous owner. Recent front end align and balance. Rear tires are brand new, front like new. This car drives absolutely straight and smooth whether on back roads or highway speeds. Comes with saddle convertible top boot. New floor mats. The mileage shown on odometer is almost certainly not original. I believe it may be miles since the restoration. In person inspection is welcomed and recommended. I welcome the chance to answer any questions.
