Vehicle Detail
This old Ford is a body mans dream. No rust that has made it through the metal. Very solid the worst rust is around the corner of the rear window. About 1/2 a cup of body filler would take care of the entire body. No welding metal patches at all. Not driven since 2008. It has the XLT package power steering, power brakes, air conditioning which looks pretty good it actually feels like it is trying to blow cooler air. Trim package, 2 tone paint, roof lights, chrome bumpers front and rear with very minor pitting, cargo lamp, sliding rear window works and latch is not broken. Sport wheels with rings. Wipers don't work nor the signal lights. It can be driven, but stays in first gear possible shift link off of the engine is not in place. It also leaks a lot of fluid. The motor needs tune up, better gas, it has a lot of blow by maybe once driven the rings will seat but it may need a rebuild or replacement. There is some wiring work to improve upon. The glass is good some very minor surface scratches can be buffed out. Dash is not cracked but is wavy a bit. Radio not working. I am working on getting the clear title, the previous owner gave only the bill of sale. Some states do not require a title for a vehicle this old so if you bid and do not need the title let me know and I will give a rebate on the final price. The winner of the vehicle may withhold an agreed amount and then once it arrives we can swap the title for the last payment. On Jun-22-12 at 15:51:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I drove the truck around the block yesterday and found when I put in 1st gear it shifted to second gear. Must be something backwards on the transmission linkage.
