PLEASE READ COMPLETELY NO RESERVE You are bidding on a 1998 Ford Mustang Convertible, 3.8L V6The car is in good condition, and currently runs great!! In preparing to sell the car, I took it to a local shop and had over $800 in work done.They did a major service on the car, which included new spark plugs, ignition wires, oil change and filter, air filter, and fuel service. They also did a transmission service, coolant flush, throttle body service, and replaced two broken engine mounts. The shop told me the car needs more work. They told me soon it will need new front left wheel bearings, and needed a valve job now. They told me cylinder number 4 has low compression, which causes it to misfire. I was told the wheel bearings would cost $185 and the valve job would cost $900. I do not have the means to have those repairs done, but if you have the ability to fix the car, or are willing to invest the money into the repairs, you can get a great deal right now... And after you do the repair work, you will end up with a very nice convertible. All I want for the car is the repair money I just invested in the car.The drivers seat leather is worn and has tears in it... the rest of the interior is in good condition.The right blinker bulb in the rear of the car is out, and there is a broken part in the convertible top on the passenger side. The top goes up and down with no problem, you just have to push it a bit after it is up, to get it aligned with the hole, so you can lock it down. The buttons and motors for the power windows and door locks in the drivers door work great, but the inset piece of the door panel needs to be replaced.I have been looking for the door panel and have not been able to find it in the same gray color.The power windows, power door locks, air conditioning and stereo system all work great.Everything on the car works great... The auction has NO RESERVE, and I will sell it for the opening bid price of $800According to Kelly Blue book, the "private party" price if the car was fixed, in fair condition is $3,850 If you take it to a shop to do the work, it will cost you approximately $1,100...which would be a total $1,900 you have invested in a car that would be worth $3,850Once I drove it home from the repair shop, I parked it, and have not driven it,because I knew driving it while it needed a valve job could end up damaging the engine even more.Right now the car starts up right away, and will drive fine... You have to come here to pick up the car, and drive it away.My recommendation is not to drive it too much until you do the valve job.I am in Ontario, California... just south of Ontario airport.Please email with any questions.The car is being sold as is... and where is... with no warranty.
