1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000!!! Here is a gorgeous 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 that looks absolutely gorgeous and runs beautifully!!! This Alfa is finished in a beautiful Red over a black interior, sitting on a great looking set of factory wheels. This great piece of Italian motoring history has been owned and driven its entire life in California!!! The car runs great and the classic 2000cc twin cam four cylinder has been lovingly looked after and comes with TONS of receipts and maintenance records. This car has been the subject of an on going restoration since 2004 and has been driven sparingly since. The car runs fantastic and has that great classic Italian car sound. The cars exterior looks excellent with a beautiful paint job and very nice chrome. The black interior is in excellent condition and the seats are quite comfortable. The car is in excellent shape inside and out. Best of all this is a documented California Car with a RUST FREE undercarriage. These Alfas are great modes of transportation and were ahead of their time when new, from the twin cam 4 cylinder engine to the 5 speed gear box. These cars were fantastic on the track and are still dominant in vintage racing today. This Alfa Romeo is a great collector's item, that is surely to appreciate in value over the years. Click to enlarge Exterior: The Classic Italian red paint on this classic is in great condition and looks stunning on the Bertone coachwork. The body is nice and laser straight and the car has great panel gaps. Everything on the car lines up very nicely. The paint job was a bare metal respray and looks fantastic. It was done by a quality body shop and was a base coat clear coat paint job. This was not a simple scuff and shoot paint job. The body work is very nice and you can tell that much of the car was dismantled when painted. The car has been driven and enjoyed and there are a few areas that have been touched up with touch up paint but overall the car shows very nicely. All of the glass and weather stripping is in excellent condition. This car is sitting on a great looking set of factory wheels with a slightly lower stance. The chrome trim and the bumpers look beautiful and are in excellent condition. Overall this is an excellent looking GTV!! Click to enlarge Interior: The beautiful "Nero" Black interior is like new and is in excellent shape. The seats feature a gorgeous pleated pattern down the center of the seats and are very comfortable since the foam is in good condition. There are no rips or tears in the seats. The headliner is also in very nice condition and is not sagging. The interior of these Alfas is a very pleasant place to spend time in whether you are of average size or tall, either way there is plenty of room in these cars and are very comfortable. The interior is complemented with a great feeling wood steering wheel that has been completely refurbished and feels great in your hand. All of the wood paneling on the interior is in very nice shape as well. All of the gauges work and the dash is in excellent condition. The black carpet is very nice and free of tears, burns and stains. I do have the door map pockets that mount to the door panels if the next owner wants them. I just dont like the way they look so I didnt install them. The interior of this car has been expertly trimmed and looks fantastic. Click to enlarge Engine: This classic 1974 Alfa Romeo features a strong running twin cam 2000cc engine that runs great! The car starts right up and runs like a top without blowing any smoke!!! This car has been very well kept and maintained throughout the course of its life. This car has been the subject of an on going restoration since 2004 and has been driven sparingly since. The engine has been treated to a rebuild in the past and has recently had the SPICA fuel injection pump rebuilt. The engine has also been treated to a set of European cams which really make the car come alive over 3,500 rpm. The cars transmission has just been REBUILT and the car shifts beautifully As you can see from the photos the engine bay is beautiful and you can tell the car has been well looked after. The car has had some upgrades in the handling department with upgraded springs and koni adjustable shocks. Really this car just needs a new owner to enjoy it!!! The engine runs beautifully without skipping a beat and emits that classic Italian sports car sound. The clutch has been replaced a few years ago and has traveled few miles since. The clutch pedal feels great and the brake pedal is firm and very responsive. The brakes have all been gone through and the car received new rotors, calipers, pads etc... all at the time of restoration. All of the lights and signals are in good working order. I have lots of history and receipts on this car!!! This is a very smooth driving car that drives beautifully and is a blast to drive. Overall, this is a great driving Alfa Romeo.
