1965 Ford Mustang 289ci V-8 Fastback!!! Here is an absolutely beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback that is in great condition!!!! This gorgeous Mustang was restored about 2 years ago and have been driven sparingly since. This is an A-code Mustang fastback featuring a rebuilt 289ci V8 with Hi-Po parts, rebuilt Automatic transmission, disc brakes, Power Steering, rebuilt front end, suspension and all new chrome and rubber seals. This Mustang retains a very factory appearance and looks fantastic. So many of these cars have been turned into Shelby Tributes or restomods that its refreshing to see a clean factory looking car. There is LOTS of money that has been poured into the engine and drivetrain. The car has a great "muscle car" idle, and sounds EXACTLY the way a muscle car should with its great sounding dual exhaust exciting through the rear valance. This is 100% rust free Mustang that has spent much of its life if not all of its in the dry desert southwest. This car has been very well cared for and it shows. This is a great collectible classic that is surely to appreciate in value over the next several years!!! Click to enlarge Exterior: This Mustang looks great finished in a classic Red sitting on a set of 1965 Pony style wheels. The car was restored and painted just a few years ago still looks great!!! There are a few very minor imperfections from driving it the the local car shows etc... but overall it looks great as you can see from the photos. The body is very solid and nice and straight. The entire car was disassembled prior to painting the car. After the car was repainted the car was treated to all new rubber seals. The undercarriage of this car is nice and clean and 100% rust free. The exterior is really set off by the great looking wheels and dual exhaust. All of the chrome on the car is in excellent shape as well! This is a car that you could bring to a local car show and show it with pride, or you could go on great long weekend drives in. Overall the exterior is in great shape. Click to enlarge Interior: The classic Black interior of this mustang is in very nice condition. The front and rear seats are great shape. They are free of stains and tears. The carpet is in nice shape as well. The headliner and door panels are also new and finish the car beautifully. The dash pad is like and is free of cracks etc... The car retains its factory radio that DOES work. Audiophiles will of course want to install a more modern stereo in the glove box to preserve the original look but update the overall sound. The steering wheel is virtually brand new and feels great in your hands. Overall the interior of this car is beautiful and is a great place to waste the weekend away. Click to enlarge Engine: The 289ci V8 fires right up and runs like a top. The car blows no smoke on start up or while driving. The engine was rebuilt at the time of restoration and runs great. When the engine was rebuilt it was rebuilt with K-code Hi-Po parts. This car features Hi-Po Crank and rods, cam and the rare Hi-Po factory exhaust manifolds. The carb is a rebuilt Hi-Po carb as well. The Automatic transmission shifts great through all the gears and was rebuilt as well. The engine sounds great with its "true" dual exhaust. The car runs nice and cool even in Arizonas hot and dry climate. The steering is nice and tight with virtually no play in the steering. The entire front end was gone through at the time or restoration and the control arms, ball joints, bushings etc... have all been replaced. The disc brakes are powerful with a firm pedal and the car stops with ease and without drama. All of the gauges and lights work etc... This car also has power steering and the car steers beautifully. This is a great driving and well sorted 1965 Mustang Fastback. This really is a great car to spend time in!
