You are bidding on a VW Vanagon 1982 with a 1.6L 4Cyl Diesel Engine Body: Absolutely no rust, absolutely no scratches!!! New Windshield and Seals!! Paint: hyper glossy Ivory paint. Paint looks excellent all around; Vehicle has been repainted once with PPG paint, wet sanded and polished. Most of the car was stripped when painted. Exterior: Bumpers in great shape and new bumper corners (lights and plastics in very good shape with no fading). Wheels: Original 14” wheels in excellent shape structurally. No curb damage. Engine: Excellent, Always starts at the first turn, idles smooth, runs great and very efficient, doesn't burn or take any oil. Absolutely no leaks. This Engine has been removed, disassembled, cleaned, inspected, replaced as necessary and tested and measured using factory service manual approved procedures. The engine’s previous operating history is maintained and it is returned with zero hours, it performs like new. New: Main Bearings(kolbenschmidt), Rod Bearings, Full Gasket Set(Victor Reins German), Oil Pump(German), Intermediate Bearing Set, Freeze Plugs, 4 Glow Plugs, Fuel Hose, Head Gasket, Head Bolts, Timing Belt, V-Belt, Thermostat. Valve Job done on head. Oil Filter and oil change, Anti Freeze within specifications, almost new hoses. Fuel System: New Gas Tank, New sending unit, New diesel filter. Manual Transmission: 4 Speed Excellent Shifts smooth and precise, Fluid is Crystal clear. No noises or weird sounds!!No leaks!! Recently serviced. Clutch: Almost new (sachs clutch), New FTE German Clutch Master Cylinder, New Slave Cylinder(Meyle German) Suspension and Steering: Excellent ride, feels solid and stable even on the freeway. Brakes: Excellent condition, brake pads and rotors in good condition still 70% left to use. Car stops straight with absolutely no vibrations or noises. Instruments and Warning Lights: All in perfect working condition. All external lights, turn signals, hazard lights, high beams, instrument cluster lights in perfect working condition. Clock is working too! Cooling System: Almost new Radiator, all plumbing (pipes) under chassis in great shape. The fan works properly. Opens and closes as specifications dictate. Interior: Original Carpet, New upholstery on all seats and Z-Bed, Headliner in perfect condition with no rips or tears. Sun visors in very good shape. Dashboard in excellent shape, center console in excellent shape with no cracks or scratches. Door panels are in very good condition, rear view mirror in great shape (like new) Working Fridge in great condition, works with both 110 connection or propane. Water tank was removed, cleansed and disinfected. Faucet works properly. Stove also works well. No propane leaks. Tires: 70% or more of thread left in each tire. Bridgestone 185R14 Light Truck. Spare tire, like new, also Bridgestone. Sound System: Working AM/FM Radio and CD player. Propane Tank: Removed, checked and painted. Miscellaneous: Jack and Wrench included (original). Defects: Small ding by rear bumper (shown in picture) and small mark on rear bumper. These are hardly noticeable but I mention them anyways. Car History: I purchased the van from a friend from Portland, OR (ex mechanic) that has been restoring it for 4 years until he was diagnosed a serious illness and sold it to me almost restored. It took me about a month to finish it completely and I took it to 3 camping trips with my family. At this point the van has 800 miles since the engine was rebuilt and drives beautifully. Still has lots of receipts for parts and machine shop that my friend left me.I'm selling it because I'm moving out of the country.Car is registered and insured.Title is clear and ready to transfer to the new owner. You will NOT be disappointed with this vehicle! It can get up to 40mpg on freeway and will not devalue over time.
